Not there but the 18's have been a mess. Overall #1 seed Dynasty and #2 seed PVA will not be in the gold pools tomorrow. Dynasty (as a third place team) lost to MN Select in a playoff to stay in the gold.
KC Power won their pool as a 3rd seed and so did Vital.
Wowza.

17 Open was a bit more normal. Only real shocker was that Northern Lights (overall 3 seed) won't be in the gold pools tomorrow.
Iowa PowerPlex won that pool as a 3 seed. Northern Lights lost in a playoff to Nebraska Elite to stay in the gold.
Most of the other pools didn't produce any huge surprises I believe.

I’m there. 1st Alliance will be difficult to beat in 17 Open. Yeah, 18s are funky. Front Range looked good. FC Elite can find another gear.

Today in SoCal, Coast 17-1s rolled through their elite level comp in straight sets, including Wave 17s.

My theory is that sometimes it's tough to have that same fire at a Qualifier when you've already won a bid compared to teams who are hungry for a bid.

You weren't kidding about 1st Alliance. They've been really stomping people. Looks like there was only one set where they actually had any pressure on them.
Also, someone spill the tea on the 18's!
