I'm putting this in the Illinois thread because I prefer to not post in the transfer thread, for probably obvious reasons. December 26 Friday said Tamas "got someone." Since then I've checked the transfer thread at least once a day to see if there was Illinois transfer news. Note - reading the transfer thread is a sure path to a headache. Finally, some Illinois news and it turns out to be a frightening start of a rumor suggesting Kyla Swanson was transferring - which thankfully appears to be a mistake. Doesn't anyone have any news??
There has to be a better way to spend my time between now and more volleyball.

A search for "Illinois", "Kyla", and "Swanson" yielded zilch in the transfer threads. no it wasn't a rumor. it was an oops by me. someone mentioned a player from Wahoo and I jokingly mentioned Kyla (Being the first player from Wahoo that I knew of)... it was about Elle Glock (who is also from Wahoo) |

I believe that user was basing that statement on Tamas' tweet when in reality his tweet was just wishing merry Christmas lol |

Tamas's tweet on 12/25 was a pic of cheering and excited AC and "....when Santa actually drops that present you've been asking for. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!"
Seems like a transfer to me. Probably waiting to clear admissions at this point?

LOL, men's basketball has followers spying on practices, interrogating people close to the program, monitoring private airplanes in and out of Champaign, subscribing to pay internet sights, tweeting and sending instagram messages to potential recruits and more. We try to interpret Christmas greetings. Now that I write it all out, the obsession seems pretty creepy, particularly contacting/stalking high school and college prospects on social media. Tamas has a history of finding necessary players, I have confidence in him.

I think Coach Tamas would be a very good get for PSU. However, IMO I'd be surprised if any of the head coaches in the upper half of the B1G would seiously consider taking the job. |

Following a legend and the accompanying expectations of a fan base is tough. Gene Bartow left UCLA after only 2 years because of the pressure, even though he had a better winning percentage than John Wooden. While Tamas would do an excellent job, I hope the time and effort he has invested in the Illinois program will make him want to stay at UIUC for a very long time. |
