Finally got over the Sweet 16 Hump. Now we just need that version of Londot and Moore/Gonzales to hit a bit better to challenge Texas on Saturday. Alternate plan is for Marquette to come out and have their best match today.

Has anyone heard what the massive senior class is doing for their fifth years?
Podraza, Moore, Gonzalez, Murr are all 4 starters that could come back for a fifth year.
MacNeill is also a part of that class that played well when giving the minimal opportunities. Wouldn't be surprised to see her grad transfer. If this class comes back for a fifth year, you're looking at a possible top 3 rated team coming into the year to pair with Londot and Rader.

The only official announcement is that Powell is going to Clemson for her covid year. Last year at senior night they honored Grunze and announced she was coming back for a covid year, but none of the seniors had that announcement this year. Based on their quotes and posts (especially from Podraza and Gonzales), it doesn't seem like any are coming back for a covid year, but I would be happy to be wrong.

Doesn’t seem like they will be returning though I hope they would. This group has been an amazing one and what they’ve done to change the culture, perception and status of this program will never be forgotten. We have the expectations that we have now because those amazing young women showed us that it’s possible and for that I am forever grateful for each one of them.

Are the number of Buckeyes entering the portal for their covid year due to the inability to retain soholarships?

Are the number of Buckeyes entering the portal for their covid year due to the inability to retain soholarships? I'm pretty sure yes. I'm fairly certain that 10/12 scholarships are accounted for next year and I don't know which of the DS are on a scholarship. I've also heard that not returning to OSU wasn't 100% within Mac's control.

Especially with incoming 23 commit Grace Eagan coming off ACL tear... will be fun to watch the development.

Mac is awesome but White redshired then sat this year. Wondering if JFO is trying to keep the next group happy

Wondering if JFO is trying to keep the next group happy At the expense of winning? I think it’s a very admirable move by JFO. Will their season be anywhere close to this years? Probably not but she’s focusing on player development and building a family-like culture for her team. She made a commitment to her recruits and she’s honoring that. It worked for her before with this current group of seniors

These coaches are gonna need to remember what it's like to have kids with only 4 years of eligibility. I think the coaches that fill their teams with grad students/transfers up until the bitter end of the 2020 class' last covid year of eligibility will find themselves with a tougher hill to climb.

No idea what grad programs or where the last 3-4 scholarships were going, but we all knew that we couldn’t keep the exact same kids around that we had this year. Heck of a core group to replace, and it might take a year of tests and growth, but JFO and her staff will get it right.

These fifth years were freshmen the final season that I lived in Columbus, 2019. So I've grown quite fond of them, as I haven't ever seen any of the subsequent recruits in person. The end of an era for me. I'll only know the players from seeing them on the television from now on. I was hoping to get a bonus year out of them due to covid accommodations, but alas. The bloody transfer portal. Rader and Londot are Carlston recruits as well. Certainly they'd be welcome back for a fifth year if they wanted one, I'd like to think. They are in the final Covid eligible class. Powell was actually in the Mia Grunze, Camryn Moeller class. She was on OSU's roster the previous 5 seasons. So she's technically getting a sixth year at NC State. Good for her. May the grandma jokes begin.
