wasn’t there a movie called Californication? TV series with David Duchovny. But this does beg the existential question: if one is in Nebraska, are they truly alive? (I kid). . Well let me answer this honestly. It was 10° today so does half-alive count? Only a polar bear could survive

And I was whining about it only being 58 degrees this morning. One of my favorite things about living in the Bay Area was seeing people break out heavy coats when the temps dipped below 60 degrees. In the 40s? Better wear your fur-lined parka! As I type this it's 1 degree in Lincoln, but it'll be 50 over the weekend. No worries.

Yes, I'll never forgot my sister apologizing to me for how "cold" it was in Los Angeles when I visited her in December. The temperatures were in the high 60s. The next year, I went to LA with a friend, and he actually turned on the air conditioner in the car because it was over 70 in December.

Yeah San Diego St and Long Beach are really tough to get into these days. Many of my students have not been accepted with GPA's over 3.5. Back when I went there all you needed was a pulse to get in. A student with a 4.6 GPA, quit sports to focus on academics, applied to San Diego State, was waitlisted, and when he finally was accepted, received NO SCHOLARSHIP or Grants whatsoever.
SDSU!!!

SDSU!!! aside from Student Athletes - students at Cal States primary may get financial aid / grants / loans. there is very little actual scholarship money, having a 4.6 vs. a 3.6 is pretty meaningless at a Cal State - money wise

He received $0.00.
Although, Playboy had SDSU ranked as one of the top 10 party schools in America, so there is that.

Keyword 'Had'. It made the list in '86 and fell off in 2010. According to the second link, while the magazine no longer exists, it's website rated them as the worst party school in 2020. www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdut-playboy-first-ranked-sdsu-as-a-top-party-school-in-2011nov18-htmlstory.htmlwww.sandiegoreader.com/news/2020/sep/18/sdqt-playboycom-rates-sdsu-worst-party-school/
