Oh, hey, I'm looking for the Washington pity party - am I in the right place? No, this is the "Stanford deserves every award because they might win the conference after going two years without doing so" party, but the "Washington pity party" is trying to claim the room.

So don't be coming in here whining that if Stanford wins then they automatically deserve a bunch of winners on the individual honors list. I don't think that is what they were saying at all. They were more saying that when Stanford DOESN'T win, that they will still deserve all the awards.

Or better yet, stop acting like a toddler and accept that even though your team won the conference titles before (and thanks for the proof, as if we need it), it was more of a team effort and no one actually stood out, in a good way.

Wow. Or better yet, stop acting like a toddler and accept that even though your team won the conference titles before (and thanks for the proof, as if we need it), it was more of a team effort and no one actually stood out, in a good way. I think these awards are very much based on the final standings of each team at the end of the season. If Stanford wins the conference, hard to imagine they will only get one award. Same can be said for USC/Washington/Oregon. Just wow. Did someone else get the password to your account or something? That's a huge change in the span of an hour.

I'm here for the Cal party? "Cal, party of one. Yes, we have a nice folding chair in the kitchen setup for you."

I get so much amusement from this. I’ve slready laughed several times just looking at it.

It’s mind-boggling that Oregon has not had a libero of the year, given the players we’ve had at the position.

Doesn’t every team get at least an HM?

Doesn’t every team get at least an HM? It had been custom to give each team at least one nod somewhere, until last year, when the coaches couldn't find it in their hearts to award even a single Cal Bear.

Lydia Grote could get a nod. struggling to think of a beaver rn… Balyko? Hodge's in-conference numbers are probably good enough right now for HM on a team w/o other nominees (3.26 kps, .250). Grote is hitting under .100 in conference; that would be a big leap but they do want to spread the wealth around and she is talented. Vernon has the best numbers for OSU right now.
