Let’s see if someone enters the portal….. Any of the Covid Juniors would have announced before senior night. Plus I don’t see anyone leaving Hawaii with this loss as their last memory in a Wahine uniform. I hope not! But you never know. Amber is definitely P5 material and she’s marketable as far as NLI goes. There’s lots of money going around and that’s another battle Hawaii will have coming up. But yes, I hope this team stays together |

The biggest concern to me is a big school waving NIL money in front of Amber Igiede.

Drat! So sorry for all Hawai'i fans! Wisconsin is my top team, but Hawai'i is my second, and with Creighton losing too, not a good night for me volleyball wise! Still, Hawai'i got especially thwacked by the pandemic, RAM and her staff proved they can coach this year, and more front row talent is incoming, so the trajectory for the program is upward!

When you're a poor college athlete, 30k is 30k. There are only a handful of schools that could do it, but if they need a one and done middle, Amber is that good. The NIL money is apparently enough that a lot of players are opting to play their graduate seasons instead of playing professionally. |

Would have felt really bad for the Wahine Team, if all those Juniors were actually Seniors, but they were not. These Wahine players will remember this match, and will use it as a learning experience. To a player, they will not allow this to happen again. It will only make the Wahine Team that much more dangerous next year. It will be interesting to see what Robyn and staff feel the Wahine weaknesses were this year, by deciding on what to work on during Spring Practice.

It's super super hard to prove tampering. |

If big NIL money is going to someone, it may be to a volleyball star! Also, if Igiede was going to leave, she would have already. Staying through a lost season, when nearly everyone else eventually got to play, and continuing there, means she was all in on the Wahine program, and why would that change now? |

It's more life changing than you think. Especially at some of the programs in volleyball-crazy locales across the country. Are they getting money like the QB from Ohio State or that gymnast from LSU? Nope. But they are getting decent money. And for many of them, it is a lifeline in today's college life. |
