I just want to see Demirtas, next season. Keep reading comments from people who have seen her swing during pre-match warmup, that she has a "cannon" of an arm swing. She could be that missing element. I was one of those that was commenting that she has a hammer. She can't jump over a phone book but with her height and high point of contact she overcomes that. She just needs to work on her fitness and jump training. We'll see a lot of her next year I am sure.... |

Sad to hear about the Leo transfer, but yea known for a while. A bit surprising though knowing that she had a recent IG takeover where she basically advertised Hawaii and UH Manoa. Might be joining her friend at St. John's? How will the Polish pipeline look now? She does have a cannon though. 1) Hopefully she stays with Hawaii 2) Hopefully she gets the training that she needs to get better 3) Damn that’s a lot of hoping lol |

Thinking Akana could be a starting Libero on a lot of teams, especially Top Level teams. Unless she improves on serve receive I don’t see her as a starting libero.. numerous times throughout the year she was removed from the passing rotation after shanking balls.. So true. Her forte is floor defense and serving but her serve receive is the weakest part. |

The coaches worked so hard to get this “polish hammer” that was in the talks the past few years only for it to be for just a season. I hope it has nothing to do with the coaches. To add to that, the worst part is she didn’t hammer a damn thang lol |

I hope the other Europeans stay longer than one year. If the trend of one and done international players, Robyn might just give up on recruiting them. It takes so much work to get them here and if they don't stay long enough to try and make it work, it would feel like a waste of time. Maybe UH need to recruit closer to the US. Go to Canada, South/Central America, Puerto Rico, etc... Euro recruiting can be worth it, I agree that Latam recruiting should be stronger. Georgia Tech was powered by some of their Latam recruits |

I will go with whatever Robyn decides to do. She has seen the players all season long, none of us have. She knows what the Wahine need the most to return to being a Top Level program again. Whatever Robyn decides will be a sign of what she feels is the weakest position on the Wahine team, that needs improving.

Sad about Leoniak leaving, but now UH needs to find an Opposite who can produce better than 1.47 kills per set on .205 hitting. Westerberg and Akana are not long-term solutions either.

You're not "breaking" anything for me. I never said she should be a starter or even playing last year. All I said was she has a hammer. I have no idea about her defense, blocking, fitness, etc....Obviously since they redshirted her she was behind the other incoming freshman.... |

She hit .150 for the season. Not exactly lighting it up in the weakass Big West Conference....I'd rather see RW as a DS and used the way Nebraska uses Knuckles. |
