I fully expect Pitt will bring in another OH transfer.
They are looking somewhat thin in that position right now, and an injury will be devastating.

I can see Pitt running the 6-2 again with Akeo and Fairbanks, with Fairbanks playing RS in front row to allow maybe a DS for one of the outsides.
L: Sr. Browske
MB: Sr. Gray
MB: Sr. Starks
OH: Jr. Vasquez Gomez (6 rotation)
OH: So. Dalton (she may need a DS)
RS: Sr. Nwokolo
RS/S: So. Fairbanks
S: Sr. Akeo
And you still have Lookwood and Flood if you struggle at OH. I agree Pitt needs one more pin hitter, but the transfer doesn’t HAVE to be a star. Now if they can get a star 6 rotation OH it would clear up a lot. However, this is a pretty veteran team so the need isn’t huge. I don’t know much about the outsides so feel free to fill in.

Fairbanks needs to play all 6 rotations (setting back row, hitting front row). Nwokolo isn't the answer on the RS. Why put her there when she looks fantastic in the middle?

Pitt has three pretty good middles in Gray, Nwokolo, and Starks. And Since they aren’t the strongest on the pins right now, moving Nwokolo would allow them to play more of their veteran players. I think With Starks and Nwokolo they can have a Smrek/Robinson combination with one running the slide and one hitting in front. I think they really liked Fairbanks playing all 6 rotations because if they didn’t they would’ve stayed with Levers setting back row for her. Pitt needs one of the outsides to be highly terminal either Gomez, Dalton, or Lockwood if they don’t have any other transfers |
