Pitt gets its first sweep in ACC play, handling Duke -10, -23 and -11. Hitting % were: .322 to .053. Pitt had a balanced attack led by Buzzerio (10k .563), Dalton (8k .278), Gray (7k .333) and VVG (7k .250). Duke's 3rd loss in a row. Gracie Johnson got almost 3 times as many sets as any teammate and finished with 12k-9e-34a (.088). Duke's other OH hit negative .200; no word yet on whether it was due to mistakenly hearing a naughty word from the crowd. Spicy. That's an interesting hill you're choosing there, mister.

If you are truly a Pitt fan you should know that your comment will not sit well with any player or coach on that team. Racist taunts to you are “mistakenly hearing a naughty word”? You should be ashamed of yourself.

I haven't watched much of Pitt since conference play started, but I just saw that
Dalton is hitting .103 in conference play Vazquez Gomez is hitting .156 in conference play
Seems like the middles and Courtney are carrying. Anyone have insight as to the OH struggles?

Anyone have insight as to the OH struggles? It’s honestly bizarre. VVG always seems to come through in big matches tho. Dalton’s SR has been sooo good which is keeping her on the floor. It honestly is bizarre seeing her hit for such a low percentage and not able to get kills. And I don’t think it’s setting at all

I watched her a lot at A&M and she’s such a versatile player. Her offense isn’t always consistent, but can sometimes provide a spark. Also has experience in backrow and in serve receive.

Never mind, I just saw that she’s still setting. I thought Akeo was back.

But yes she is still setting a lot

Congrats Pitt on making a second consecutive final four!
Just wanna appreciate VVG in the RF - 22 digs for an outside against the likes of Franklin, Orzol, Hart, Robinson, etc. is very impressive.
ALSO she was so clutch in the last points of the regional final yesterday. Dimes a perfect pass at 13-12, and then gets a clutch kill to get match point up for Pitt.
