You may be right about Haleigh, but I doubt she's done playing. Last I saw her was in a video crumpling to the floor grabbing her knee, so wasn’t sure of her playing status. I bet she would be an outstanding recruiter and a good CEO head coach if surrounded by excellent assistants. Coaching would put that philosophy degree to good use😊 I didn't know about her injury. Sad to see

Sad to see She said on her Instagram there was no ligament damage to her knee! Hopefully she is back to playing soon but I think she would be a WONDERFUL coach some day.

Aird would be a terrible choice. If he does get interviewed I hope it's a courtesy interview and that's it. But... I also think he may be one of the candidates most likely to get the job. This is where having a lame duck AD is going to be most dangerous. I don't expect Barbour to finish out her term, and I think she expects that, as well; not a whole lot of motivation to do this right. Agreed with the comments on Katie, as well; I felt there was a decline in assistant coaching the last few years. If Aird gets the job, I'm done watching PSU volleyball for a while. Would love to see Fisher from Pitt get the job. Ultimately, the new coach has to be a great recruiter, that's what's been lacking the past few years. According to some, we should have news in the next week or so.

He was never one to have assistants do all the leg work and then step in and be the “closer” like many programs” kids rally liked him, he was fun, funny and refreshing as he wasn’t blowing smoke up anyones $ss

Of course he did, and deservedly so. Their recruiting hasn’t been bad, they just weren’t able to sign elite 6 Rotation players. I think it’s really important that people keep in perspective, that these last few Penn State teams have been judged by an impossible standard created By the preceding teams and players.

That's true, but I think the impossible standard is to expect a 'natty' every year. A realistic standard is to expect good recruiting and a competitive team that fights and grinds out wins with a final four appearance every 5 years. There are at least a half dozen programs (and the list is growing) that have these expectations every year.

If you’re a real fan, your supporting the team regardless

Getting a coach who can recruit will be key, IMO; recruiting is a talent.

Do we know if Adanna is coming back? I believe she is coming back. Good, she’s on track to have a 1000+ Kill and Dig career and I’ve enjoyed her as a player no matter who she played for
