Good for The Beach. I will always be Hawai'i first in the Big West, as I have been drawn in by their great streaming and broadcast crew and have ties now, but it is great for volleyball for The Beach to be good (plus Cal Poly, UCSB and any others who rise up)! Great Big West volleyball is great (and the top teams this year are really fun to watch, despite the rough non conference).

Very big road match for LBSU traveling to UCSB tonight. Both teams need this win so you would expect the best from both squads. Neither team can afford another loss but UCSB has the more realistic path to a conference championship.
RS Glenn for LBSU is picking up her attack since being reinserted in the starting lineup. Hopefully she continues her hot play which will allow a much more balanced attack. LBSU also needs to have Callie available to add more size and experience in this crucial match.
On a side note, hopefully UCI can take down Hawaii tonight to make the conference race more interesting. However, Hawaii seems to be playing much better volleyball right now and UCI may not be able to slow down the rainbow attack.

Starr Williams is in the transfer portal I think this is a win win for everyone. She did not see the court her two years at the Beach for various reasons. She needed a fresh start and now Tyler has a scholarship to offer to someone that can come in right away and help. I wish Starr the best in finding the right place for her. She is a nice person with volleyball talent.

it's a surprise to me, i believe the entire team would stay for at least 3-5 years, maybe both of them got other plans? like the LOVB duties?

Wow is an understatement. Wasn’t signing day like a couple of months ago? What about all the kids that both of them recruited? This could somewhat set the beach back a little.
I also wonder how the current players feel? I’m sure some of them looked at Kim and CJ as mentors and now that they are no longer there, there could be some confused feelings on the team as to why and what happened?

Cursty’s leaving is more concerning. It was obvious over the course of the season that she either wasn’t on-board or wasn’t integrated into the program. Tyler can’t do it alone. He simply doesn’t have the experience or ability or time. But like a lot of young coaches, he’s going to make the mistake of hiring his friend(s) in place of those who can improve his knowledge and development.

I think if she was leaving, she would let the team know. Not surprising CJ stepped down. The job is very time consuming and she does have a two year old.
