is there any live links for todays match? live score box? I made the drive down. Blue is playing without Mruzik or Johnson so it’s a little rough. OSU up 2-0; 25-17, 25-21. Mruzik has ice on her knee, Johnson not here.

Everyone. Lots of lineup changes for both teams, pretty typical spring match. Podraza set the first set, White the second. Murr played great at libero in set 1, Taylor is on set 2 and 3. All of the outsides and middles getting turns. Moore playing especially well.

that’s pretty standard. They only get 12, why would you eat up 2 in L/DS’s? Yeah, why would they waste scholarships on 2 or 3 DS’s like. .. Nebraska does. . . Total waste. . .

3-0 sweep for tOSU -17;-21;-19. Would have been nice to get a 4th set. Michigan is desperate for a DS or an OH who can consistently pass. So much firepower going to waste.

I don’t know the inter workings of Nebraska’s scholarships. But I’m guessing they do not have 3 DS’s on scholarship each season. Which is was I was implying. They may give out 1/4, 2/4 etc, but most teams do not have 3 L/DS on scholarship every year

They could get away with it (essentially 14 scholarship players). I wouldn’t expect them to maintain keeping 3 on scholarship at all times. You all can laugh at me all you want, I’ve talked to many coaches, 2 max is normal and many times it isn’t all 4 for some.

Nebraska certainly isn't a school I'd use as proof for some sort of larger standard. They have too many circumstances that allow these kinds of things to happen. Meyer (MB) isn't taking a scholarship - she's a top 20 player for her class, most schools don't get elite recruits for free. Next year they are getting Mendelson, a top 5 recruit, who also isn't taking a scholarship. Again, most schools don't get elite recruits for free. Next year Hames is rumored to be walking on....most teams don't get 4-year starter All American setters to pay their way for a 5th year. Nebraska can have 3 DS's on full scholarship because they have other essential positions covered without burning a scholarship.

(just a side note) Meyer did have a scholarship for when she was on the team. She's not with the VB team anymore, as she's pursuing track.

It’s rare to find a good enough DS who will actually make a difference AND be okay not being the libero but because it’s Nebraska they can
