Confident in Alfee's ability to get them stable as a passing unit (maybe not great, but good enough). Blossom like others have already mentioned is the game changer for them. Should be fun to see, I imagine they'll be the preseason favorite over BYU, see if they can hold off BYU in their last season of WCC play. It's not the coaching ability I'm skeptical about, it's the lack of depth and experience in defence. We saw last year that when Benbow and Tastad had "off" games, USD had no solution because Jaworowski and Hoglund had only played as serving specialists. Now that Tastad is moving on, this team will no longer have an experienced DS back there with Benbow. Someone with little or no play time in the WCC will need to step up to fill the gap that Tastad left (likely Bennett) so there is risk that comes with this. It would be nice to see Jaworowski get more play time so she can step in if there is an injury to Benbow or Bennett or if one is having an "off" night. Blossom is a game changer only if the passing is there...if it isn't there's not much she, Frohling or Lukes can do to convert. BYU loses some key players this year (Koerber, Eschenberg, Reinert, Ballard-Nixon) so the matches this year should be closer than last year for sure. |

Anyone have any information on any Spring tournaments for the Toreros? Excited to see Blossom set Lukes and Frohling.

I don't think Allen would displace Benbow at Libero. She would provide help with defense which USD needs.
USD also released their preseason tourney schedule: among others: Pitt, Louisville, Ohio State, Hawaii, Utah, UCLA... Wow!
