I think Rothe has a bunch of options. Interested to see where she ends up. Instagram/Twitter follows are hard to read. These kids follow so many coaches😂 The chatter at JO's was she's down to Purdue or Ohio St If she's down to those two, I'm pulling for Purdue |

I wish had some inside scoop information. I noticed the Purdue Volleyball Instagram unfollowed 2024 target Lauren Harden so one would assume she’s not coming. Purdue still follows these 2024 players which means there’s some mutual interest: • Lizzy Andrew • Kiylah Presley • Allie Shondell (will be interesting to see if Purdue is actually recruiting her) • Morgan Gaerte •Alec Rothe • There’s likely other players in the 2024 class, but they don’t have it listed in their IG bio. Also, people can say what they want about Instagram follows not meaning anything, but for Purdue, it’s always been a good indicator. From talking to folks at nationals, it sounds like they’re probably looking at Middles and Liberos for the 2024 class. Not necessarily to the exclusion of other positions, but those seem to be top needs. Also, Allie Shondell is an outstanding setter. Great hands, super high vb IQ (as you’d imagine.) And I wonder if, as family member of a Purdue employee, she’d get a free education without having to spend a scholarship? Just spitballin’ here. No idea if she wants to play for her dad and uncle. Middles and liberos make sense with the number of pins coming in over the next few seasons. Rothe would be a huge get, hoping Shondell and company can pull it off! Sadly, I think Ohio State is the favorite if it’s truly down between the two of them. |

I’m hoping for a big recruit to start the 2024 class off strong. Update: it looks like the recruit might be Carley Butler, a middle from OK. That’s just me guessing based on recent Twitter/Instagram activity. |

Not sure why volleyball hasn’t had the same success there. |
