Us people, as you say, are not the ones hysterical because Sesame Street is teaching cultural awareness. . Answer the question. Stop bouncing around. Were the Muppets controversial before? Were they all whitei? The Muppets are not controversial now. |

Were they all whitei? Nope, they were vegans, they've taught animals awareness to kids while our parents were still yelling at us "finish your meat then maybe you can have dessert !". Remember that the show's host was a frog, to us french frog eaters it meant something you know. I guess if they also portrayed a snail our frog and snails industry would have collapsed. Now seriously, remember that they portrayed animals at a time veganism spread accross the UK in the late 60's early 70's, Muppets are a US-UK production to begin with. Also they portrayed rock musicians, hippies, musicians-hippies ! old fogies like Waldorf and Statler, and so on at a time when a war between some asian comunists and whitei capitalists just ended, the Watergate... they've always taught the kids about the times they were living in.
Now we're living in a time when cultural awareness matters, not that they're for or against that woke culture, they just show the kids the important cultural movements of our times.

A couple of my high school French teachers were native speakers (one from France and another from Belgium) and they would occasionally let something slip that would describe Holiday (aka Lutherville) here. C'est le merde. |

Edit: you can also try cool variations by adding "putain" (yeah you all noticed that "merde" and "putain" were the words that perfectly describe french slang right ?)
Example: Holiday, ce qu'il raconte, c'est de la merde putain !
Notice that you can place putain before c'est de la merde : Holiday ce qu'il raconte, putain... c'est de la merde !
Also we never say "bonne chance" (good luck) but... merde ! "je te dis merde pour ton prochain match de volley !" and sometimes it's even "je te dis le mot en 5 lettres pour ton prochain match de volley !" french are superstitious people you know... they don't say the exact word but its number of letters  |
