They added an autistic character years back, as well as a wheelchair bound character. Not much of a peep there from anyone. But in 2022, a muppet character who more or less resembles around 20 million American citizens is introduced, and people like Carlson - and by extension, Holiday - lose their sh!t over it? Why is that, do you think? |

It’s really a bummer that Holiday spends so much time watching Tucker. Wasting time that would be so much better spent starting new threads “Off The Net”. There’s not nearly enough Holiday threads on this humble forum  |

Why is that, do you think? Yeah. Alan (real name Alan Muraoka) bought Hooper's Store. I kind of lost touch with Sesame Street, but when my kid was younger I remember being there with one episode where Alan was trying out a machine that made rice porridge. I guess that's woke too since it's not American enough.  I mean - what's the deal now? They had Buffy Sainte-Marie on once where she was't simply a Canadian of native ancestry, but also showing Big Bird that breastfeeding was normal. Or heck - Big Bird in China back in the 80s. That was actually a prime-time special on NBC. I think the real source of this was about a month ago when the head of CPAC called for defunding PBS over this character. And he was completely off his rocker because there had been Sesame Street Muppet characters who had an ethnic or racial definition. On top of that, Sesame Street is now produced for HBO for first-run showings. It takes a while before episode is shown on PBS. |

I remember a coworker used to talk about a certain guy who was on TV who he didn't like. Said he just "want to punch him in the face" although I'm pretty sure he would have never done it had he come across him. But Tucker Carlson is simply pathetic with his manufactured outrage. Which you buy hook, line, and sinker. But of course Carlson didn't even come out with this outrage on his own. This was the work of Matt Schlapp, the head of CPAC. Of course he's too stupid to figure out that Sesame Street is on HBO. If he really meant it, calling for defunding PBS was stupid. If he really understood how things worked, he would have called for a boycott of HBO. |
