I doubt DeNecochea will play tonite for CAL POLY.So,...having won three in a row,...will it be the momentum needed to take match one of the Big West??? After some 10 matches has this POLY team formed the right chemistry? win in four pretty much scripted tonite's contest. The All American Maia Devoracek and the RS sophomore Tommi Stockham were as advertised,...quick and fast. Burns needs to be perfect from the service line. If,...there was one disappointment all nite it was the attendance! |

On the road next week at UCSB and CSUN. |

Will Amy Hiatt be ready to play when the Wahine come to SLO??? Interesting,...the Beach beat UCSB 3-1,..must be home cooking prevails. |

Important week for CAL POLY,...CSUB and UH. Anyone close to the program know the status of Hiatt and DeNecochea?? Never want to overlook an opponent. CAL POLY will have a weird short week of practice facing CSUB away on Tuesday,...why not Wed. Then entertain UH at home on Saturday!!! Who's got the scoop on Hiatt & DeNecochea??? Not exactly a momentum booster for Sat's match against UH. But, CAL POLY lived to play another day after a tough five sets. Both Hiatt and DeNecochea played in one set. Avalon DeNecochea saw the court for the first time this season. Amy Hiatt's ability to play and play well against the wahine will be critical. |
