saw some clips of the Green & White scrimmage on social media, would love more insight from anyone there
looks like the Iosia had the lib jersey on lock (both float serving and jump serving), Poljan at MB1, Aliyah Moore as one of the OHs in six rotations, and Maradith O'Gorman the freshman playing oppo
it also looked to me like some of the rest of the potential 'A' players were switching sides but would like to hear more

Granted I only saw her highlights so who knows. The setters seemed to be switching a lot so who knows who the starter or starters will be. Aliyah Moore is such a fun player to watch. Sure, she would be the shortest hitter in the Big Ten, but she has some tools in her toolbox for sure.

I was there. I'm buying Aliyah Moore stock. She was the most consistent hitter all night. The question will be whether or not she can block consistently in the B1G. Basil is spot-on as to Poljan, Iosia and O'Gorman. Doezma and Olin both looked good in spurts. The first few matches will likely be used to see if one can take hold of the L2. As for the M2, Okur started on the Green which was set up as the likely starters in set 1. She was ok on attack but at 6'0" is going to have a lot of trouble on the block. Overall, I thought Monks had a very nice night and Schutter also had some moments. The setters were a toss-up. Nunez started set 1 on Green and probably has a slight edge just based on experience. Finally, not surprisingly the Breslin is a giant improvement over Jenison. With the upper deck curtained off you don't get the feeling that you're sitting in a vast bowl.

How soon are playbacks available after a match with B10+? I want to watch Iosia go up against a high school friend, but they play at the same time as Texas and I get too invested in one game to focus on 2 lol 😂

I had an entire analysis typed up last night but it got deleted ugh!!
But the starters LOCKED right now, Iosia at L, Moore at OH, Poljan MB, and M. Ogorman on the pins.
MSU showed a lot of versatility acrossed the board and to my eye, a lot of depth. Something I don't think they've really had.
The setting battle is going to be fierce but so much fun. Nunez and Bishop are neck and neck to my eye and the two will push each other greatly. If one struggles, sub the other one in and they'll deliver or a run a 6-2! They could do that.
Monks is the clear MB2, but behind her is Okur, Schutter and A Ogorman and they don't give much of a drop off. I could see any one of them finding the court for whatever reason and delivering.
The Olin and Doezema battle will be interesting to see. Both can play on either pins, in my opinion, Doezema would make a great opposite. I thought the both passed surprisingly well as Olin was a middle in high school and Doezema was never touted as a strong 6 rotation passer, but the two held up. I think Doezema doesn't have as much flare to her swings yet as she is just coming back from an injury, but still delivered. Olin is extremely athletic.
The DS crew is pretty tight too, I assumed Danzinger will be the first DS in because she lib'd for the white squad? But Jayhlin and Horejsi were nothing to scoff over either!
M Ogorman is going to be REAL GOOD! I think she could challenge for high honors this year, granted how MSU does.

If I remember right, M. O'Gorman and Aslayan were the only two who played opposite. Because of this, when one of the teams played a 6-2 using Nunez and Muisenga, they didn't have the necessary two opposites to sub in, so they used a male player for that part of the rotation. Another male player was in the match for a while, but I think he played only back row. Considering there are 18 players on the roster, the use of auxiliary players was a bit of a surprise.
For me at least, Aslayan didn't particularly impress, but I'll wait to see her more.

Selin seemed a little off, getting into the swing of things, but I thought served and passed well.

What do you think the order of the depth chart looks like for setter? Let’s just say, I wouldn’t want to be the ones making the decision who to start 😂. Nunez and Bishop are GOOD

I wonder if we will see a 6-2 with Nunez and Bishop sometime this weekend. That would also test differences between O'Gorman and Aslayan at opposite.

Congrats to Leah on her first win at MSU, although it was not easy!

Also congrats to the young team that has had only a few weeks to get to know each other. They started out shaky but pulled it together to overcome a 0-2 deficit.
M. O'Gorman was an absolute standout in her first college match. It looks as though the weak points may be the left side and the passing. Moore is a great athlete and will almost certainly be the starter, but it may be hard for her to overcome her height disadvantage against the Big Ten opposition. Doezema and Olin are inconsistent yet. Nunez seems pretty solid as the setter.
It will be interesting to see who else gets playing time today to show their stuff.
