MSU is doing the second day of a 6-2 ughhhhhh. Please give us a 5-1 offense! I don’t know why but the 6-2 bothers me so much. It just seems unnecessary. Especially when you have a setter like Nunez who had 22 digs in her first match as a Spartan.

If your setter is digging the ball 22 times, then that's at least 22 plays that she's not setting. They're looking at a 6-2 because they want to keep three front line players blocking and hitting. Especially because one of our outside hitters is 5' 9". Hard to say from just looking at stats but it looks like both Bishop and Nunez played well this weekend.

Wisconsin, Nebraska and Michigan State using 6-2. Did Kelly Sheffield hold a coaches seminar in Chicago?

Coach knows the priority. I really like Leah Johnson and the approach she is taking. She knows she is in for a tough go in the B1G this season but she's also laying the groundwork for future growth. She seems like a coach a young athlete will want to play for and that will definitely help the Spartans on the recruitment front.

She seems like a wonderful coach. I like what all 3 new coaches are doing for their programs in the B1G. Hope they handle the slaughter house of conference play well. 🔪

Anyone know what’s going on with Poljan? She missed the last two weekends of play.
Also Iosia say the last set of the last match of last weekend. Hope it’s not an injury.
Nunez is injured too. Hope it’s nothing serious!

Leah gives some of the best press conferences out there. I am forever thankful for her since she gave ISU one good team to root for
