Correct. Katelyn Harrison is the obvious choice. Out of curiosity, I looked up the distance between Belmont and Vanderbilt. 0.3 miles. That's as close as it gets. Don’t think it’s even .3 miles. The campuses almost touch.

Anyway, I didn't know much about Katelyn Harrison, but she does seem like a good candidate. She had a good record in her previous stop at College of Charleston, and she's already in Nashville. And it's hard to see how Vanderbilt wouldn't be a better job than Belmont in every way imaginable, so she'd probably take it if offered. It's possible Vanderbilt thinks that there may be an even better candidate out there, but Harrison definitely looks like a solid bet.
Edit: So apparently, Harrison was an assistant at College of Charleston, not the head coach. I misinterpreted her bio, as it doesn't explicitly state that she was an assistant at Charleston. However, Brandon Rosenthal at Lipscomb was suggested, and Vanderbilt also has to be a better job in nearly every way.

I was wondering how long it would take before someone stated the obvious.

Rosenthal also seems like a good candidate (I really have no idea which universities are located in Nashville other than Vanderbilt). Also, Rosenthal has one of the more amusing official team bios that I have ever read. Whoever wrote it clearly wasn't above a little editorializing. It starts with: "Brandon Rosenthal enters his 20th season as the head coach of the Lipscomb volleyball program and he wants to leave a legacy that will not soon be forgotten. In other words, he’s not going anywhere anytime soon." I guess that means we can scratch him off the list of potential candidates for Vanderbilt. /s

Hudson would be a home run hire (for anyone) but the world's most obvious candidate already lives in Nashville. Maybe. It’s not like it’s tough to convince people to move to Nashville. And if you take the geography out of it, he wouldn’t even be the top candidate from his conference.

That would be interesting, as she's shown she can be successful at an elite academic school.

Three of those seasons were Harrison’s three seasons. I don’t know her. She might be a great person. But she’s been very unsuccessful so far at what has to be the nicest campus in the coolest city in the OVC.
