This could be huge. Vandy is an incredibly attractive academic option in a top conference and it looks like they plan to build it in a way that supports the sport. It will be interesting to see who they decide to hire.

Wonder if this will put any pressure on Oklahoma State to add volleyball? They will be the last P5 school without a team.
For selfish (Texas) reasons, I enjoy seeing this. Once Vanderbilt starts playing, finally a conference volleyball schedule without an odd number of teams which should mean no byes during conference play.

Fully admitting that until NCAA tournament time, I pay little-to-no attention to anybody other that the Big Ten, I had no idea there were P5 schools that did not have women's volleyball. I am amazed, confused and a little appalled that there were, and still is. Good for Vandy; boo to Oklahoma State. |

How does recruiting usually work with adding a new team? Do they only recruit 2025 and younger? Get a few 2025s and hit the transfer portal? Go for some 2024s and they sit a year?

I'll be interested to see what kind of admissions consideration they're going to receive at Vandy. Not going to be easy to fill an SEC roster if they can't go JuCo/foreign to start.

There's so much people in the portal though, they shouldn't need to! It can be like baseball for Vandy, they can excel there. |

Wow! I think that would be super attractive for alot of girls. Although I'm always a little surprised Northwestern doesn't have more success - big city, gorgeous facilities, outstanding acedemics and in a recruiting hotbed. Vandy would seem to be very similar.
