From a pure talent perspective, here is my ranking… Minnesota Nebraska Wisconsin Ohio State Penn State Purdue Illinois Northwestern Michigan Maryland Michigan State Indiana Iowa Rutgers Not bad. Penn State too high. Move Michigan up 3 spots. Iowa slides ahead of MSU.

Rough spring for Illini though. Michigan looked good. Spring doesn’t always matter but in this case I think it does.

How I see the Big 10 folding out this season;
1. Nebraska 2. Minnesota 3.Ohio State 4. Wisconsin 5.Penn State 6. Michigan 7. Purdue 8. Michigan State 9. Illinois 10. Maryland 11. Northwestern 12. Iowa 13. Indiana 14. Rutgers
Top 6 honestly can be switched around for most of the season but will come down to which freshmen/transfers get comfortable and gel with the team first. I will always root for the gophers but I feel like this Michigan team will be a bump in the road for the teams ranked above them.

If she plays the right, she'll be bumping the Final Four MVP off the court. An All-Conference first teamer, along with the B1G Freshman of the year, and the MaxPreps Illinois HS player of the year coming in are the three ready to play left. The incoming libero has played internationally as a professional as well as on her national U18 team. Oh, and a server who set a new school record for aces last season. But setter is something of a question mark, so...

We mentioned Cook, but how long do Rosen and Shondell have. I would imagine in Purdue's sake the brother would take over? Michigan just open it up?

if we're only looking 5 years down the road, i'm curious as to why people think Wisconsin had a chance of falling out of the top half. seems to me they have a solid infrastructure for women's volleyball, from the coaching team to the support from the fans and the athletic department. they're very much in the same echelon as Nebraska and Minnesota.

I didn’t realize there were so many Minnesota homers on here. I guess this is a better place to post over the GopherHole?

Oh, I see. I wasn't looking at the poll. I guess you're right that Wisconsin has fewer votes.

I think Michigan State will surprise us. With their new coach and a lot of new members on the team I really don’t know what to expect. I’d assume their transfer from Illinois State Aliyah Moore will get an OH spot and either work one of the 5 MB expected to be on the roster to an OH, or one of the incoming freshmen. Would be fun to see a lefty hitting outside like Dani Drew did for Utah
