Maybe Lexi’s unanimous 1st team selection (not the case for Murr) can be explained by both being great defenders but Rodriguez being wayyy better in serve receive.
Idk if they actually look that deep though lmao

Like Murr is an insane defender. Do you Nebraska fans really think it was THAT much of a robbery… Ohio states block also sucks so her job is harder. Roddy would have been deserving as well and I wouldn’t complain if she won but I really don’t think Murr winning it was that big of a deal lol… As an objective third party, I agree with this 100%. Kind of thought maybe she wasn't getting enough chatter during the year (except about being rude to line judges lmao), but Rodriguez being unanimous First Team and Murr not is head scratching all the same. people will say I’m biased. Which I am but I’m really trying to be objective about this as well. I just don’t think it was a robbery and I’m sure it was a close race. |

There was also never any comment that Murr was not deserving-as she is a phenomenal defender and you can't deny the fact she led the conference in digs/set. The questioning came in to play where Nebraska is not only the top defensive team in the conference, but also the country, and Rodriguez is the head of that snake. She also received UNANIMOUS 1st team selection, whereas Murr did not. Hence, questioning the decision... But no-"robbery" was only used by you. Murr was deserving as well. |

Shaffmaster has taken some hits on this board, but I guess the coaches whose teams played against her didn't agree with her critics. They voted her first team all-Big Ten. So there! Up to you whether you like her or not but I haven't seen much improvement since last year (when she didn't even make second team). Wholeheartedly disagree with this statement. You haven't watched enough of Shaffmaster if you haven't seen a significant improvement in her this year. |

I don’t think murr is undeserving. Just voting wise, it doesn’t seem to make sense |

Guctekin not making freshman team is extremely puzzling.
Does anyone have her passing numbers on the year.
Also I’m gonna get a LOT of hate for this
I was never that impressed with Allick. She was good, but I never saw her as freshman of the year good.

Admittedly (and I typically put disclaimers in my posts, so my bad on this one), I watched more matches of them early in the year. I will retract that part of my statement and will definitely keep an eye out for her in the tournament! Although I will be surprised if I feel like she's a top 10 setter in the coutry after doing so, all the same, and setting talent is down overall. |
