I just saw a "press release" posted on FB from Extreme Volleyball and Texas Pistols. Anyone know more about this? I'm posting the entire post I saw bc I'm not sure a link would work bc it was in a private fb group.
Just curious about what's really happening in NTR.

Press release from Extreme Volleyball and Texas Pistols. We are looking for your support.
Why do we let an all-male Officers Board of the North Texas Region that abuses it power to be around our daughters?
We are governed by a region that owns and has interest in their own clubs, making decisions about other club owners in that region. How is this possible? They have the control to eliminate competition, and they actively seek this out. This is a violation of due process, which states we are entitled to an unbiased tribunal. They also control who host tournaments, which again is predominately clubs who have representatives on the board. Other regions DO NOT have Commissioners and Presidents that own clubs in their governing region.
We have a governing body that is not transparent and open, which Officers of Board are MEN. I am a successful woman and club owner for the past decade that is being discriminated against. #NodiscrinitionwithNTRvolleyball. Sanctions were given by members of the NTR Board that are excessive and biased. There has never been a punishment this excessive for this offense. There are several sanctions for misconduct of minors that were given 3-month suspension. This is unduly towards me. There were direct conflicts of interest with members of the board, and these concerns were addressed and ignored. This is a dictatorship, not a democracy! NTR Bylaws state that the Commissioner cannot be removed. “Section 2.7. Removal. Any director, other than the Commissioner of the Corporation, may be removed, either for or without cause, by the affirmative vote of at least two-thirds (2/3) of the directors of the Corporation present at any meeting for the Board of Directors”
Several board members have made attempts to purchase my club in the past. Now their failure to successfully purchase the Texas Pistols, that was sold to a woman, has left them angry and vindictive. This is alone is a conflict of interest and now that they are attempting to extend my sanction for 5 years. They did not stop there! Here is the kicker:
“You may not own any portion, direct, coach, oversee any club that is recognized as a USAV/NTR club.”
I am now being told I am not allowed to own a business in a right to work state.
There has been concerns about USAV sanctioned members still participating in clinics. Let me clarify that this only pertains to any event that is sanctioned by USAV. Extreme VB and Texas Pistols were not sanctioned by USAV; therefore, allowing any sanctioned person to participate. Let’s keep in mind the sanctions were simply for a coach not completing a membership. Please refer to USAV sanctioned members and see for yourself. The length of time issued for this minor violation extends beyond violations that show misconduct of minors.
· “ You are not allow to coach, spectate, participate or attend any USAV sanctioned event, practice, tryout or clinics”
As you can see from the above sanctioning, they are allowed in participate in any unsanctioned event.
You might have already read online about the unethical and immoral things happening in the region lately. Has anyone notice that only certain clubs are allowed to host tournaments? Or how the recruiting of players outside of tryouts doesn’t get scrutinized? I could go on, we all see unethical and immoral things happening. Its time for the “good old boy network” to stop! Its time for them to be held accountable for their actions and it’s time for an independent woman to have equal rights in this business.
I do this knowing that this will cause further discrimination towards me and my clubs, but we feel it time to stand against a region that monopolizes from the control and continues to try to push out the competition. They are trying to force out the competing clubs.
I need your support to voice your concerns to the board and demand transparency and due process for sanctions in the future.
