So, with one qualifier left--Far Westerns--there will be two at large bids for 16 Open this year. I compiled the results for all teams that have appeared in a gold pool so far this year, based on what is in AES. (Since only results in AES are considered for At-Large status, at least as I understand it). If you look at record vs the Open qualified field-- Legacy is 12-12 vs Open qualified field Mi Elite is 8-10 vs Open qualified field MadFrogs is 6-10 Open qualified field AVA is 4-8 vs Open qualified field If you look at record vs all non-Open teams that have reached a gold pool this year--- MI Elite is 20-11 Legacy is 18-15 Dynasty is 11-15 AVA is 11-16 MadFrogs is 10-14 I would think, based on this, Legacy and Mi Elite would be the front runners... It is really too bad Sports Performance does not compete in USAV still. I would love to see how their 16 Elite team would do

I don’t usually watch below 16u, but I have to say that I recently watched a match of the TAV 14’s team and they are probably the best 14’s team I’ve ever seen. Volleyball has gotten so good so early, it’s insane.

Based on what I’ve seen this season, I think they could qualify in 16u maybe even 17u, depending on the serving.

It’s been a while since TAV has had a dominant age group (why did Cao bolt to Drive Nation? $$$?) but they may very well have it here. Still a bit early as a lot of talent will bloom in the next couple years for the 14’s , but this team is very very good.

I know that Jaylen has been spending a lot of time reviewing their film and has high interest in Brynn Stephens. Obviously, I'm sure all the other major programs are interested in her and some of her teammates like the Livings sisters and Barker.

Someone told me that team has 3 new players this year who moved from Austin to be on that team. Looks like the 4 names mentioned here so far were on the roster last season. Any idea if what I was told is true and which players are new to the team from last year?

Like that late 2010’s TAV team where the LOWESR rated front row player was Flickinger, who was so very good for her age, despite her size.

I hope just driving to Dallas and not that the families actually relocated just for their daughters to play at TAV 😳. If so, wow. People be crazy these days.

Speaking of the Livings, don't they have an older sister going to USC? And are the 14's twins or is one playing up?

JVA World Challenge Results 14 Open - Tri-State Elite 15 Open - Tri-State Elite 16 Open - SPVB 17 Open - Tri-State Elite 18 Open - Circle City Curious where Munciana’s 17 and 18s teams were? It shows on their schedule they were attending but according to Tawa they were no shows.

I am going to assume they had a rash of injuries and/or players that are sick and didn't think it would be a good idea to play in the tournament
