I am going to assume they had a rash of injuries and/or players that are sick and didn't think it would be a good idea to play in the tournament likely…or proms! Looking at World results it looks like the other 18s and 17 were there. So just Samurai.

Speaking of the Livings, don't they have an older sister going to USC? And are the 14's twins or is one playing up? Yes they do! Also, I believe they are twins but one could very well be playing up.

Insane, 1st Alliance was close to sweeping the 17s in all divisions. Talk about depth. 17 Gold won Open 17 Silver won USA 17 Black 3rd in Liberty 17 White won American I am sure it has happened before, but I cannot remember a club ever controlling an age group at a qualifier to this extent. It will be neat to see how they do at nationals. Lone Star Classic (TAV) 13 Open: Gold 14 Open: Gold 15 Open: Gold 16 USA: Gold 16 Open: Bronze 17 Open: Silver

Ha sleeping in your own bed theory again plays out ? In Chicago 1st alliance won most age groups as the hometown team which is the comment you were responding to, at Lone Star TAV dominated and also was the hometown team...IE avoiding travel and getting to sleep in their own beds.

If that’s the case how come Madfrog, Drive Nation, and Skyline didn’t dominate?

Good question, wasnt a knock on TAV it was observation that teams that dont have to mess with travel, hotels etc have an advantage. I know in Windy City a few of our players didnt arrive until after midnight and didnt get in bed until 2am to play at 8am match. That is certianly not ideal but when you are dealing with student athletes that do no want to miss class you have to fly when its available. Playing at home, all of that would be avoided was my point.

It is really too bad Sports Performance does not compete in USAV still. I would love to see how their 16 Elite team would do It’s really more of a shame that they are still allowed to compete at all. I don't disagree with you. I meant more the kids on that team.

I agree, the Livings sisters and Peterson play beyond their years. Gentry Baker is a bit smaller but has such a powerful arm. I wonder if the livings will be a package deal. It’s been a while since TAV has had a dominant age group (why did Cao bolt to Drive Nation? $$$?) but they may very well have it here. Still a bit early as a lot of talent will bloom in the next couple years for the 14’s , but this team is very very good. This set!! www.instagram.com/reel/CrUZtZ4v9MH/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

If the situation in Chicago gets any worse between now and USAV Nationals I have to wonder if teams/clubs will pull out of USAV Nationals. Chicago is a mess right now.
