Was Pierce playing 6 rotations at NLQ? I saw highlights from a DS on the team & Cisneros was at OH hitting & the other starters were in but Pierce was not playing back row. Could have been matches they had in hand and situations where they were getting everyone playing time. She had a basketball tournament on Saturday but was at NLQ on Sunday. All around amazing athlete.

Could have been matches they had in hand and situations where they were getting everyone playing time. She had a basketball tournament on Saturday but was at NLQ on Sunday. All around amazing athlete. We were on the 18s courts watching my niece and thought Pierce was hurt so my daughter asked her after the OTVA match. She said her coach wanted to reward the OH who filled in for her the first 2 days of the tournament while she was gone at her HS basketball tournament. She said the other OH (sorry, don't know her name) played awesome and helped get them to gold pools. Sounded like she was cool with the compromise. Great teammate. They played Pierce across the front and the other OH on the back all day. The other OH played well but they were definitely missing Pierce's presence and ability to attack out of the backrow. Pierce was insane in the A5 match that we watched. The other OH could easily play DS at the next level so good opportunity to get some film on her and Dynasty still got their bid. With TC splitting the age groups up by wave, we're excited to stay for the pm wave to watch some of the 17s compete on Saturday especially some from Texas since they weren't at NL.

Omaha Presidents Day has really fallen off in terms of quality of teams since the NIT went to KC. Circle City is still going to St. Louis but their open divisions are not as strong either.

Makes sense. As a team that wants the best competition, where would you want to compete? Omaha or NIT? Plus the quality of the teams at the Open level is still high, it’s just that the very best are at NIT.

AJV, A4, TAV, & AZ EVJ are clearly the top 4 at this one. All with 5-1 or 4-2 records so far.

Sports Performance also has a President's Day tournament this weekend. Used to be a big event. Not so much anymore.
