Over half my team has either graduated or transferred. Guess I’ll have to raid Avid’s team next year 🤣

eazy, Kingsley and myself ( vballfan17) have offered to admin this season's Fantasy League again. Is anyone else interested in administering it instead?

Still a bit early for this, but last time I admin'd, I recall the collective voting for some fundamental changes to Fantasy. We've kind of had the same rules for the last few seasons and I'd be in favor of introducing some new quirks. I'll list the ones others have mentioned so far:
1- I'm not really sure how Avid (since he want undefeated last year but lost)/ the fantasy collective feels about points v. head to head to determine standings. A big reason why we eventually went to points rather than head to head was because it encouraged people to stay engage through the end, but I dunno if fantasy has an engagement problem anymore.
2- Trojan had mentioned doing two matchups each week (you play all opponents twice in the season). This would help negate the effect of the schedule on the standings.
2- A number of posters have mentioned expanding the bench, which would probably necessitate expanding the playerverse.
3- I think we need a new category and hitting percentage seems like the clear winner. If we kept it points based and needed a 7th (odd) category, win percentage seems like a good candidate, or if it was head to head scoring, the win percentage could be the tie breaker.
4- It used to be that we actually had to PLAY a freshmen each week on the active roster. Since transfers are such a hot topic now, perhaps we mandate that we also draft a transfer and we alternate each week between a freshmen/transfer on the active roster.

I would be in favor of some adjustments to the sub rules. If a player is out in Week 4 and then is rostered in Week 5 but doesn’t play, I don’t think a sub should count. If the participant isn’t paying attention or doesn’t submit a roster, they shouldn’t benefit from sub rules that negate the natural penalty they would incur by being down a player.

To ay's points: #1 - I like the point system. I think it keeps people closer. While engagement still occurs / people may submit rosters, I'm not sure people would use as many add/drops especially when they are out of the race early. That counts as engagement too to me. #2 - I like the two matchups per week because it allows you to negate a bad week against one specific opponent you NEED to beat, and it also allows you not to stack your roster just to beat 'one' opponent. You could face two different skillsets and need to strategize differently. In my proposal of this though, you would be allowed to submit two different rosters (one vs. team A, one vs. team B) #3 - not really crazy about wins, would be more opened to hitting % or going to continue my proposal of staying with 5 categories, but changing the kills category to be kills MINUS errors. That favors middles and hurts outside hitters who get a lot of kills but make a lot of errors and hit in the .100's. to Fight On!'s comment: I don't know, what if a star player is out and anticipated to return? I don't think it's fair to force someone to bench a player who might come back. Is there any advantage to playing a potentially injured player since the sub-list is in ranked preference now (you don't choose who subs in after the fact). If anything, it's higher risk to play an injured player who could have a bad match.
