Ok so this isn't shade but what's different about this Minnesota team save for Samedy and a new middle? I didn't really think Texas struggled that much in Minneapolis last year (save for the back row play) but I'm interested to hear how Minnesota looks with the two matches they played this year! McGraw is not as good as Murr, IMO. McGraw is better than Murr, it isn't really close Minnesota as a whole is on a much different level passing compared to where Ohio State is

McGraw is so much more controlled and steady, which I love about her. Last year, Samedy had 21 kills and 19 digs, so the middles and OH's for Minnesota will need to step up to get that kind of offensive and defensive production. I imagine they'll probably be out of system a lot, especially in the transition game.

much more left pin heavy but they're also feeding the middles a lot and are scoring more from there Landfair will be much more of a factor in this match, she lit Texas up early on last year before the ab injury really affected her for the rest of the match I'm sure someone else can add to this Yeah Landfair will likely be the biggest difference. Also, middle production has improved a bit, which will really help the pins get more one on one opportunities. I still see Texas winning, but Minnesota could put up a fight. The biggest difference for Minnesota this year is the tempo to the pins.

Is there a link to a replay of Texas Minnesota last year? Because for the life of me, I can’t remember that match. I’ve only been able to find this condensed game. It’s the one where Minnesota blew a huge lead in the first set lol.

Wenaas is much better than where she was when Texas played Minnesota last year and Landfair is seemingly healthy and passing really well so far. McGraw is better than Murr. If Shaffmaster is connecting with the middles, I expect this to be more of a challenge for Texas than Ohio State was.

Hoping they don’t put us through that kind of drama this year

Stats show she was against Baylor, too, but I never found footage of that match. Booth looks like the real deal, too. She’s impressive for any class, but as a true freshman she looks outstanding. I’m impressed the connection with Shaffmaster is as good as it is in the first week.

For five of their core players, this will be the first visit. The 2019 match in Austin was a great crowd and really propelled them during those deuce sets. Hoping the crowd tonight is stellar!
