It's a real shame if Wucherer is likely (?) unavailable for this.
Minnesota has a scary pin trio of their own if she's able to play. McGraw is great, Kilkelly seems improved etc.

Because she was in a boot yesterday (and Friday and didn’t attend the earlier scrimmage)

This will be an exciting match for sure. Our first home game in Gregory against a well respected B10 team/top 10 ranked opponent.

im excited for this one. I assume Minnesota is going to hold up better in receive than Ohio State did, they do have better OHs than Ohio state anyways if they aren't passing great. I think Texas will have to be prepared to defend a more diverse offense that should be in system a decent amount of the time. kilkelly, wenaas, and mccgraw are a solid passing trio. Minnesota will need someone to step up offensively that isn't their OHs to hang with Texas. should be interesting

Because she was in a boot yesterday (and Friday and didn’t attend the earlier scrimmage) And that's an issue for the Gophs, not enough fire power to match the Horns. We'll see, maybe they can make up for it with great passing and floor D.

Because she was in a boot yesterday (and Friday and didn’t attend the earlier scrimmage) And that's an issue for the Gophs, not enough fire power to match the Horns. We'll see, maybe they can make up for it with great passing and floor D. I feel like the bigger issue than serve receive is scoring off of serves. Ohio State had the big run in the 2nd set of the first night, and then they did a good job of taking the lead and keeping it in the first set of the second night. In particular I thought they did their best job of the two matches in tooling off the block in that first set, then it seemed to disappear the rest of the night. The big thing is Texas just seemed to gradually squeeze the life out of Ohio State, like a boa constrictor, with their side outs. They would get a lead and then slowly and inexorably march towards 25. There were the 10 ties and 6 lead changes in set 3 on the first night, but at the end of the set there Texas was with a 5 point win. The last set Ohio State just seemed to give up once Texas got a 5 point lead (or so) and it led to Texas serving them out of the arena in the -13 win. The only time I ever saw Ohio State go on a sizable run from the service line was with Londot in that 2nd set of the first night. The difference for me as a Texas fan is obviously the back row. It's much harder to get balls down than it has been in the past. The frustration I'd feel as a Texas fan at watching an opponent deliver incredible dig after incredible dig, I'm watching Fleck and Halter do seemingly every other point. And they're passing on a dime. SKT often doesn't have to move her feet to set. I'm used to watching Gabriel run around like her hair is on fire. I also think it helps not to have a 5'6 setter in the front row. Not to take anything away from Gabriel or what she did for Texas, because I'm grateful, but her height was always an issue. Then you have Ohio State serving service error after service error, so it's not like they weren't trying to put pressure on UT's passing. But that's the flip side of that coin so often. Minnesota simply has to find a way to score more often on their serve, while still siding out Texas at a decent clip. Also, if they can figure out a way not to play from behind. Texas is bad enough when they're on a team's tail. Minnesota knows all about that from last year. But when they're ahead, especially in that 15-20 point range, they tend to close them out. I'd say this team looks especially dangerous with it.

Should be a fun matchup. Super excited to get to see Halter play because I’ve heard so many good things about her.
Definitely will be a challenge for this Gophers squad. Hoping Booth is able to keep putting up walls and Hanson or Crowl can get at least SOME production on the right side. Wenaas and Landfair will do their thing.

FYI, mcmike is saying the game is showing up on the ESPN3 channel for all you volleyball fans who want to watch the match while also keeping your kidney instead of using it to purchase the option to see it on LHN. I'll be honest. I've seen this too often be an unpleasant diversion where the LHN televised game isn't actually available, but I hope it comes to pass.
