Wahine need better guns 💪 Unfortunately they’re not gonna choose Hawaii. Case in point Leo and Mia left. I don’t understand people who post this and still have Hawaii themed avatars lol Leo and Mia were average players who the portal convinced one she was above outcompeting others and one that left because she was homesick and wanted to be near her boyfriend

Hoping we get to keep Amber all the way… Is amber indicating she is leaving? Or are we drumming up potential rumors and we are not even half way through the season yet? Smfh Amber is uber loyal to coach Rob and the Wahine program and will finish her collegiate career here. Hawaii gave her a chance and she has flourished. Hell, coach Rob let her start her very first match her frosh year and the rest is history. The same Amber Igeide people on this very board years ago questioned because they said she had terrible footwork and that she was slow. And those same folks had her as low as 3rd on the middle depth chart. So again, unless we have verified evidence that she plans to leave....she isn't and she absolutely loves it out here and loves the program. Completely agree! If there’s anything that needs improvement, it’s volleyball IQ by your average volleytalk poster for the Wahine

She never wanted to come to Hawaii. Also Caylen is already above and beyond Leo, who can’t even start at NC state.

One thing people need to understand, this Wahine team is still a young team. There are only 4 players that have started at least 80% of the matches last year, Amber Igiede, Kate Lang, Tayli Ikenaga, and Riley Wagoner. Everyone else did not play much last year, or are new players.
The BWC cancelling the Covid season, has really put the Wahine back, especially in player development. I truly believe next year, will be a proving ground for the Wahine team and Robyn Ah Mow. With everyone coming back next year, except for Byrd, the Wahine need to be in the Top 25, even a Top 15 team, also get pass the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. Robyn should know what kind of players she will need to bring in to accomplish this, after watching the players perform this current season. if she is not able to accomplish getting the Wahine back into the Top 25, or even the Top 15, then maybe she should not be the Wahine Head Coach.
On another note, watching quite a few BWC teams play so far, this is really a down year for the BWC, more so then even last year. So I truly believe the Wahine have an excellent chance of winning the BWC. I do not see any BWC team stopping the Wahine Middles, or even Caylen Alexander. These 3 players will lead the Wahine to another BWC Title, and another NCAA Tournament appearance. But I do not see the Wahine getting pass the 2nd round, again. Hoping at least they get pass the 1st round.

Also Caylen is already above and beyond Leo, who can’t even start at NC state. As much as I have tried to forget DNS, it was just such an annoying situation. The girl literally commits early, gets all the hype of being a verballed sophomore, talks incessantly about how the school that was loyal to her and tracked her progress was not her “ideal/dream” school, and then decommits once she had received that school(Creighton) attention. I’m sure as teammates she and Stella are likely friends but I really am more excited to for Adeyemi to come in a be a better recruit but also person for Hawaii because no matter how you slice it, DNS was a flake recruit who should have never verballed early in the first place.

Yup! You are more than entitled to your wrong opinions 😂😂😂 At least i’m not the only one who has the same opinions.. And like I already said, there is a need of IQ improvement for VT posters. Especially those in the Wahine thread. This isn’t football where head coaches are tossed to the side like garbage and there’s no relationship with coaches and recruits or any developed culture. I mean this in the politest way possible (you’ll know when I’m being disrespectful) but I simply see your views on the correlation of coaches and program development as flawed and your justifications for your opinions are lacking in any substance besides your own emotions.

Robyn knows she has to replace quite a few players after next season. To that end she has to bring in 1 or even 2 impact type of players to next year's team. By impact player(s), I do not mean Top 50 players, but player(s) who are willing to work hard to become Great Players, like Amber Igiede. Players she can build the team around, going forward, after the 2223 season. That is why Robyn did not go after any impact players in the transfer portal, cause most of them were either Juniors, or older in class. What Robyn needs are 4 year players in elibility to build the team around, going forward.
