An ugly win is a win. But sets 1 and 4 - Yuck. Texas will still stay #1 in the AVCA though, if only because not enough people can get LHN to see those games Everyone else has a loss.. AVCA voters don’t even look past record let alone scores. |

That game didn't feel good watching it, but the offensive stats aren't bad:
Team hit .303, 10 aces vs 7 SE, 9 blocks
Logan .341
Molly .455
Asjia .308
Mel .476
MB2 was a low point, Caffey hitting 0 and Bella -.250
Confirmed that Fleck had an off night, only 10 digs over 4 sets.

Well, as I mentioned in the foregoing post, I didn't watch the match, only saw the score. So I didn't see either team lose or win. However, I'm glad my Coogs outperformed all the chest-thumpers' predictions to beat the spread. Obviously, the talent disparity in this match was large, and it would've been a massive upset to beat Texas on any court, and especially in Gregory. I'd like to say this is the year Texas doesn't choke, but I can't say I'm feelin' it. |
