Well, as I mentioned in the foregoing post, I didn't watch the match, only saw the score. So I didn't see either team lose or win. However, I'm glad my Coogs outperformed all the chest-thumpers' predictions to beat the spread. Obviously, the talent disparity in this match was large, and it would've been a massive upset to beat Texas on any court, and especially in Gregory. I'd like to say this is the year Texas doesn't choke, but I can't say I'm feelin' it. I love the hate! Join the club. Fellow Texas schools Texas Tech, Baylor, A&M, TCU all have jackets. Just glad we're getting out of the conference. Time to make some more fan bases hate us. Our arrogance isn't a bug. It's a feature! It's not so much choking as it is simply not having the passing and floor defense to win against teams with a fast offense and superior defense and passing. Akana and Eggleston are not great passers. Fleck was taking a lot of court last night. Houston passed really well, served really well and scouted well to know how to score against TX's block and Fleck. Teams like Houston, UCSB, Rice stress TX out because they can defense and pass and made TX scrap, which is not what they're best at.

How would UH and Pepperdine compare? I think I saw Pepperdine vs Nebraska but honestly can’t remember. I’d think they would be close Pepperdine maybe being better but don’t know.

BYU looking less like they’re moving conferences to upgrade and more like they’re trying to escape! I know that’s not true. I’m pretending here.

It didn’t show last night, but Texas probably has the best back court of any team in the country with Fleck, Halter, and Akana. Logan is serviceable back there. Anyone have the volleymetric stats season wise for serve receive? Everyone was off last night but Texas is extremely scrappy with the backrow players it has.

Nebraska is 61.7% and 34.6% FBSO. Louisville is 51.3% GP and 31.4% FBSO. Kentucky is 46.8% GP and 38.4% FBSO. 55% GP and 40% FBSO is gnarly.

If you say it’s solid, I surely believe you
