Who would’ve thought McCall had a better chance at postseason at TCU than UCLA?

They still could be among the first four out, but there is a path for them to be in. We will know shortly here. I don't know enough about UCLA to know what that should mean for Sealy, but have heard from many in this thread and the UCLA 2022 thread that it is (maybe past) time for him to go either way. Yeah, UCLA fans have been pining for Sealy to go for at least as long as I've been on this board (I joined in 2018). that's because in Nov. 2018 UCLA failed to qualify for the NCAAs for the second time since 2013... people said it could be the assistants, so for the 2019 season Sealy got to hire new assistants, and here we are in 2022, four full seasons of HIS assistants, and... fails to qualify for the NCAAs. The problem was NOT the assistants.

Diva, the B1G would be more competitive with a UCLA that had a legit coach, for sure.

I wonder what would have happened if Hugh McCutcheon hadn’t turned down the UCLA job. Sealy stays in Hawaii and a good chance he succeeds Dave Shoji.

Does Christmas come early this year?! Is Sealy getting fired!?
I sure hope so. Tomorrow will be a beautiful Monday if we get that announcement.

Who would’ve thought McCall had a better chance at postseason at TCU than UCLA? Jason Williams?

If the position opens up, I could see the AD doing what he just did for womens soccer. Hiring an experienced female assistant coach from a top program who can recruit. New soccer coach had 5 plus years at Stanford and was known for being a top recruiter. She’s off to a great start in Westwood. Why not try to do the same for volleyball . . . great idea, worked for soccer, Natty #120 for UCLA team sports.

Makes you wonder if the UCLA should be looking at Stanford’s Alex Dunphy as the new head coach . . . Not sure about her recruiting experience, but she is certainly familiar with LA, Pauley and the conference . . .
