There's some interesting verbiage in the new regulations for federation changes.. "Only one (1) player having previously played for another national team and who has changed Federation of Origin within the last four (4) years can be part of a team, for a given event. The four-year period shall start from the date that the change of Federation of Origin of the player was approved." to me, that sounds like a pathway to Vargas+Alexia for Turkey and Meliha

What a wild match. Argentina took set 1, and then was up 20-18 in the 2nd set, and never scored again. Dominicana scored 7 straight points to win the set, 25-20 and even up the match.
Then, to start the 3rd set, Argentina cannot score. Dominicana leads 8-0!
Dominicana has scored *15* straight points.

I think the wording is confusing lol the “only one” part is tripping me up You don’t think it’s hinting that once Vargas’ four year period is over that their next naturalized player will be eligible?

The practical effect of the rule is to prevent multiple people with federation changes to be on a team in a 4 year proximity, is the way I read it. So Turkey can’t have another convert play alongside Vargas until 4 years after Vargas’s official federation change.

(Or 2027 if it’s from when Vargas can play)

Who would be your priority for team USA? I’ll get on it. lol

But I think that goes all the way down to youth teams, but have to check. I’m kinda joking, but there are a ton of high school age kids from Russia playing club and high school sports in the area. They started coming at the beginning of the war, and still are arriving.
