Her first recruits come this fall and from what I remember itโs a high ranked recruiting class. So I guess weโll see starting then since none of her actual recruits are even on the team yet. The 24 and 25 classes are both littered with talented for sure. 2024 (13th ranked class on PD fwiw) Anna Bjork MB (Milwaukee Sting) USAV NTDP Mallory Bohl MB (Legacy) USAV NTDP Morgan Gaerte OH (Team Pineapple) USAV NTDP Mia Radeff OH/RS (Encore) Grace Langer MB (Momentum Colorado) Kailyn Greene-Gordon RS (Jersey Juniors) 2025 Maya Baker S (Vision) USAV NTDP Maya Evens L (Wave) Chichi Nnaji RS (Dallas Skyline) USAV NTDP Sophia Thornburg OH (Dallas Skyline) USAV NTDP The girls with NTDP experience are three very sought after recruits in each of the two classes so far. However, Notre Dame has underperformed in the past so we will see how things develop in the future. Sometimes becoming more talented helps but itโs not going to drastically change the program alone. I figured it would be a slow build. Bjork and Bohl could be huge. I thought ND had one of the weaker MB duos in the ACC, so that looks promising for their future. What would really help them take that next step is consistent production at the pins from someone not named Palazzolo. Trump has had her moments but hasn't been consistent thus far so maybe Gaerte could be the answer.

Will this be her 4th season? Third 3rd season is usually when you see change at that level. Not an overnight situation. 4th year should be the biggest year.

Seems like Salima has to do the "old school" way. Which she is doing an excellent job at given these future classes.

They currently have three transfers on the team. MBB has three and WBB has four. From such academic powerhouses as High Point, Seton Hall, Miami, and Penn State. So it can't be *that* hard.

I stand corrected. Maybe Salima didn't push for much this portal season knowing she has a lot of scholarship kids coming the next couple seasons. Plus she doesn't strike me as the ruthless type to pull a schollie from a kid who didn't live up to expected performance and seek a transfer in that place like some schools do. I've always seen ND as similar to Stanford in that kids go to school there because they want to attend it for more than volleyball. Could be wrong but that's how I view their reputation. Either way, I'm rooting for Salima's success.

The Miami kid went to Mater Dei so I imagine her guidance counselor knew who to call in South Bend. Drewnick had a computer science degree from Georgia Tech and got into the business school. I wouldn't say that these prove that Notre Dame is easy on transfers. I don't see anyone from Penn State or Seton Hall so maybe you know more and you could be right, but that isn't obvious, is all I am saying.

I highly doubt a high school counselor has a better contact in admissions that the athletic department does. It's not transferring to a directional state school but it's definitely not like transferring to Stanford. And for what it's worth, I've known Salima for 20+ years and I'm also rooting for her. I'm just taking exception to the idea turnaround have to take three to four years to bear fruit.

I think Notre Dame's turnaround has been a little slow, but I'll reserve judgement for this year. I expect a winning overall record and a break-even conference record.
I am worried about the setter position, though.
