People used to put Texas down that way. It was bush league. Talking about them not having enough passing and defense and too many hitting errors was not trash talking. When they got past those problems, they began to win more often. Wisconsin has run head on into some very powerful dynasties… both Stanford and Penn State. Stanford did too when they lost three consecutive finals… one to Nebraska, two to Penn State.
If people want to put down Nebraska, they usually talk about their football team.

She had a few clunkers but in all Hammill set her best match of the year. Bodes real well heeding into the tournament. Wow, I thought she was pretty crappy. I remember one set to Orzol that was well placed yet Orzol mis-hit. Rarely if ever would we see that early on. The over the net call wasn't good but the root cause was a poor overpass. Go back to video of her setting from early Big Ten games and you can see overall clear improvement. Didn't say she is top notch but leveling out her play will really increase our chance of success in the tournament in my opinion. |

Should not have been put in for set 4 then. I'm a ref and years ago I was reffing 17 Open in chicago. A setter took a ball to the face like she did and I could see she was woozy. I got off the stand, told the coach what I saw and asked my R2 what else we could do (I wanted to call over a trainer). He stated that if the coach allows her to play then that's it. College seems to be the same way. No concussion testing, no pulling the kid to ask her some questions, if the coach says play on you play on. SMH |
