I could not disagree more. I’ve been watching Big Ten volleyball for many years. The parity of the league this season was amazing. Injuries created havoc with several teams, but the competition was amazing. If you watched Michigan, Maryland, Indiana, Northwestern, and even Illinois in person; you would realize how talented these teams are. Unfortunately, all of those mentioned above will not dance this December. As a new fan who started following volleyball this year, comparing Big Ten vs PAC 12 and ACC matches were night and day. I was genuinely shocked by how much more competitive a random Northwestern - Indiana match was vs a Colorado - UCLA. Mid-range B1G teams are done so dirty by RPI - I wish there were a few non-conference games later in the season so B1G RPIs could be boosted. Yeah, it's not like CU would sweep a mid-level Big Ten team if they played or anything.

Have CU play Illinois after conference play, the result will be very different Are you even paying attention to Illinois? This proves my point; they ended their season with a 2-3 loss to Minnesota, 4 wins in a row including to a then RV Michigan, and losses to a red hot Indiana team with NPOW setter Haworth (watch her recent games, she's been insane) and a fully healthy Northwestern squad that plays like a T25 team

Have CU play Illinois after conference play, the result will be very different Are you even paying attention to Illinois? CU ended the year taking Oregon to 5, sweeping Washington, losing at WSU then beating AZ and Utah pretty handily. I guess the score might have been different but I would take them over Illinois still. Especially because CU is like 4-1 vs them in their last 5 matches. Maybe Illinois could knock off Illinois State now but who will ever know??

Arizona beat Maryland Colorado swept Illinois and Iowa Stanford beat @nebraska and @minnesota (Lost to PSU in 5) Utah went 5 w/ Purdue @purdue Oregon did lose to both PSU and Minnesota (@minnesota) Washington beat Illinois, Iowa, and Northwestern Washington State lost to Minnesota
So PAC is 8-5 against B1G this year. Can we stop the narrative that the B1G is just so ridiculously better than the PAC??

I wish there were a few non-conference games later in the season so B1G RPIs could be boosted. I don't think there are any NCAA rules preventing that. All it would take would be a couple/few conferences electing to play their first week of conference matches one week earlier, opening up a later season week to have non-conference matches amongst themselves. But no actual teams would really want to do that.
