As I said, I get that. But so far you had Hawaʻi going to three different regionals except on the west coast. literally shut up lol. He’s not doing anything to be rude to Hawaii. Hawaii fans do this in every single thread. Why does it matter how many times he changes it ? Shut up? What was said that deserved that kind of response? How bout u go scratch!

I think LMU being left out would be a shame. They already get no benefit from RPI bonuses because Pepperdine will be outside the unadjusted T50, but well within the Adjusted T50. They lose the scheduling bonus because San Jose State lost their last match to San Diego State (when they had an 87% chance of winning). And still - they will end up in the low 40's in RPI (RPI Futures has them at #43). They will end up with wins over (pablo rank in parenthesis): UCLA (26) Pepperdine (35) Pepperdine (35) San Jose State (45) Ole Miss (58) I believe this team should be in the tournament and would easily be in the tournament if we went with just RPI - but understand how they may not make it because of the committee criteria. What are your takes on Michigan and Texas State? Michigan is going to take an RPI hit on both Wednesday and Friday - going into this week their RPI will be better than where it finishes and they are already in an uncomfortable position. Texas State has the *JMU* top-25 win, which we don't know how the committee is going to value, but they also beat TCU.

The 16 hosting teams seem pretty solidly in place (EDIT: except Rice? I had Rice as a 5 seed and GT at 4 and clearly there's room to disagree here). Creighton over Marquette in the BE tournament probably just switches the two teams - if they both lose, then maybe BYU over both of them? Of course, the committee might leave all three of them out regardless of the BE tourney due to SOS arguments, but that would be a complete shame. After that, it will be really interesting to see how a committee handles 5-8 seeds for the first time. The margins feel razor-thin to me. Georgia Tech's wins: 27 BYU 30 Florida State 44 Georgia Rice's wins: 16 Creighton 17 Houston 24 Western Kentucky GT has a slightly worse loss than Rice (who hasn't lost a game outside the Top 25). Rice has a better RPI and better wins. What reason at all is there to seed Georgia Tech over them?

To be honest, I put together a rudimentary Top 25 but after about 12 I didn't put as much effort in, and so didn't closely compare these two. I agree with your analysis.

But it gets interesting if Georgia Tech beats Pittsburgh. I think you can still make a case for Rice, but I imagine Georgia Tech might get the nod in that scenario.

Shut up? What was said that deserved that kind of response? How bout u go scratch! Hawaii is going to lose no matter where they go lol You were the person that also predicted they were going to lose their tourney match to the 2nd place team in the SEC last year- didn't workout the way you thought. For the record, only one team wins the championship, there is going to be a lot of teams that lose "wherever they go." This Hawaii team is peaking at the right time, that's all that matters. I'm looking forward to the tournament.

After that it's a little tough to see them knocking out a Top 16 seed, but that depends on placement. But compared to a month or so ago when I wasn't even sure Hawaii was going to make the tournament, they look like a much better team.

HawaiiVB is not a troll, he had questions. Trojan does a great job and I could see Hawai'i getting shipped to Madison as a fill-in. That might be a bitter pill for bucky415 but the Wisconsin fans will love Hawai'i. Well, at least for that first night.

Only real 'important' matches tonight:
Central Michigan plays at Ball State (MAC Semifinal #1) Buffalo plays Bowling Green (MAC Semifinal #2)
Bowling Green theoretically could be in the at-large hunt, but I doubt it. They did beat Tennessee, and Miss. St, but that Miss St. win is no longer good. One win against Tennessee shouldn't get them an at-large.
But this could be important for Michigan. If Bowling Green finishes Top 50, it gives Michigan another T50 win, which they desperately need.
