does Washington really deserve an 8 seed?
i think the huskies prefer to not have a seed and play a five seed first round.

They have three top 25 wins (nobody outside the top 16 seeds I have has 3 top 25 wins). at Arkansas, USC, and Oregon. If they don't get it - it's because of the losses (Utah, Arizona, Arizona State). There are so many teams with sub-100 losses this year, it's crazy.

Any chance Hawaii can sneak into top 32?

Any chance Hawaii can sneak into top 32? I'd bet against it, but it's possible. Towson, Hawaii, Georgia, Yale/JMU are the teams who I think are 'just out' of the top 32.

I’m going to have a hard time stomaching Auburn in. Beat 1 program above the RPI cut line (UGA twice), go 0-15 in sets against top 25 teams and lose to the worst team in the conference, Mizzou. Doesn’t scream tournament team to me.

I don't know why'd they stretch to put Tennessee in but leave out Auburn given Auburn has the H2H (and Tennessee lost to Bama) I'd also rather Auburn than Ball State.

after this weekend, I think one of the biggest questions is how far will Ohio State drop, but also, how far will Nebraska drop. Not only did they lose 2 matches, at home, they lost a key player in Kenzie Nuckles for the season. I could see Nebraska dropping to 9 or 10, and Ohio State dropping to possibly 13, though likely stay within top 12. Definitely not a regional 2 seed for OSU.

Trying to figure out what the committee thinks when Tennessee comes up for discussion. Granted the Tennessee committee member cannot be in the room when they talked about. I have no doubt that the committee will know that the best MB was out from August-October. She came back start of November helping Tennessee go 7-2 with a bad loss to Bama

If I was on the committee, if we go down the injury route, we better talk about Luper and every other team's possibly injury status. Including Northwestern. I know they all aren't created equal, but it just opens up a can of worms. Especially because the committee says "we watch so much volleyball". How much did they watch Texas State? Are they aware of any injury issues there? I guess you could argue this is where Regional Advisory Committee's come into play... which then it depends on how much they know. A rebuttal I would have is - what do we do with Auburn? Auburn won the H2H. If we put in Tennessee - how can we leave out Auburn? They wouldn't have gotten a chance against this healthy team to even have a fair chance.

All that said... if Tennessee gets in - I won't hate it because I think they are more dangerous than Auburn for sure. Fingall can take over. I also would have rather seen Tennessee get in over Mizzou in that COVID year.

I wish women's volleyball had the same First Four format as men's basketball
