For anyone who has issues with Harper’s press conference. She is an 18 year old who had probably just played in the most disappointing game of her life 5 minute’s earlier. Y’all can have your issues with Cook, but to rag on a girl who is in this situation for the first time in her life and is speaking with I’m sure a ton of anger/heat/fire is sad lmao. People saying “i hope she never wins a championship” or laughing at what a very emotional girl is saying in a VERY emotional situation are the real losers here. agree that harper deserves no hate. but i honestly don't know why cook chose harper and bekka for the press conference when they clearly weren't up for it. merritt, ally, andi, bergen and laney were also upset but handled their individual post-match interviews really well. i also noticed in 2021 kayla caffey gave the same energy in the presser after the loss to wisky...i'm just not sure what cook was thinking.

I mean, it's also just Harper Murray's attitude. While I appreciate swagger, she should be smarter than to pronounce NE being the national champion the next three years. Seems Bekka is rubbing off. you can guarantee every positive thing Allick brings to the team is rubbing off too. Sure. Good with the bad.

I’ll say it again, he does not choose who goes to presser.

So how do the players get chosen? By the NCAA?

All the starting players did a post-game interview somewhere I believe. Either at the presser or outside the locker room.

I’m a Texas fan but honestly super excited to see Nebraska over the next 3 years, especially w Harper mentioning 3 time natty lol This will give her lots pressure, especially considering that the volleyball is team sports and she cannot control her teammates. Ya I agree - it probably wasn’t the most reasonable thing to say in an interview but it’s understandable. I think it will light a fire under all her teammates tho to come back stronger

I get that people are shocked and unhappy with that collapse. But 2023 will go down as one of the most successful in program history. Volleyball Day, 33 wins, Big Ten Champs, National Runner-Up, all while starting four freshmen and being without Krause for half the season. Our only two losses were to a Final Four team and to the National Champion. People are justifiably unhappy right now, but we're going to look back at this season as a raging success. I think John said it correctly : This one match won't define the whole season. It's a sour pill to swallow at the moment but we can't but look back at this season as wildly successful (in my opinion of course)

Harper thinking she wants 3 titles in the next 3 years is quite literally the same thing as her saying it out loud. Do you think anyone on the Husker squad is thinking they don't gun for a natty next year?

Do you think anyone on the Husker squad is thinking they don't gun for a natty next year? Why would you not want your players to think they can attain the natty every year? I want every player to have that attitude, Nebraska or not. Y’all are so easily villainizing an 18 year old woman who just lost a championship game. I can’t help but view some of these comments as misogynistic in nature whenever a male football player is allowed to say they intend to win a national championship, but yet here Harper is “speaking it into existence” and suddenly she’s ruthless and arrogant.

Asjia’s time with the national team and her serve. She was something else tonight. but i still think that this Nebraska team was at an elite level all season and THE top team this season title or not. Okay. You lose in 3 to Texas and WI and you're the top team? If Texas would have lost to TN, do you think WI would have beaten you again? I want what you're drinking. on paper - with the talent that Nebraska brought in, yes they competed at an elite level and had one of the most impressive seasons led by a young core. They competed at an elite level when they were not expected to. Wisconsin (senior and transfer led) had the talent to be great and was expected to be great…but had losses, and close calls along the way - forced to 5 against Arkansas/Tennessee early on (both tourney teams with deep runs), could have lost to Florida had it not been for Stucky’s injury, 4-set loss to PSU, 5-set loss to Purdue, 5-set loss to Nebraska. I’m not taking away anything from Wisconsin - if you go through the threads, I was hoping for an all-B1G championship to decide the tie break but the momentum-led longhorns got in the way of that for both B1G teams. Now to your question of do I think WI would have beaten Nebraska again? We’re talking hypotheticals, so no matter which response i give, you’ll rebuke and then starts the never ending cycle of YOU’RE WRONG followed by NO YOU’RE WRONG. I’m just not in the mood to argue tonight - but i stand by everything i’ve said about this Nebraska team. They put the sport that we all love on the national and global map because of that 92,003 match. If you can’t appreciate what this team has done for the sport in the US and respect the resume that they had, all because you just want to defend your own team, idk what to tell you.

It was an amazing success. I think if anyone had told you in September that this was going to be your season result, y'all would have signed up for it in a heartbeat. It's hard in the moment, but if you think about it that way, you definitely had a great season.

Finally bringing myself to watch post came stuff... Cook needs some media training a little bit. We can send him to learn from Kelly 😁

it’s because some of your fans come into other match threads to talk about how good your players are and how they wouldn’t make the same mistakes lmao. See people talking about Lexi vs Elena Scott during the Pitt regional final. So ofc when Lexi is tragic in the title match people are gonna say something lol I mean, it's also just Harper Murray's attitude. While I appreciate swagger, she should be smarter than to pronounce NE being the national champion the next three years. Seems Bekka is rubbing off. You got to give her a little slack, it's not like she's had four years of media training. I 100% say that if they had the interview the next day versus 5 minutes after the match, it would be much different.

She had an extremely thoughtful response in the post-game and is still trashed because one of her TEAMMATES said something that wasn't well received.
