Agreed. Other schools are going to make sure they have a solid name at each position. That second outside hitter position is our weakness and we need someone who can consistently terminate and contribute from that pin. Krause has had moments of solid contributions, but I'm not sure she's the answer when she's getting subbed out consistently for Batenhorst for poor performance. Look to the portal or, if not, maybe see how we can work in both CJ and Merrit instead of keeping both on the right, since the coaches speak so highly of Jurevicious? Krause has .323 hitting% in her last 26 matches played in while playing two positions with 4 different setters, hell of a lot more than âmoments of solid contributionâ and far from a weakness with her as OH2 has played 3 years of NCAA Big Ten volleyball and Merritt Beason has played the same three years, 2 with Florida and 1 with Nebraska. Krause has had a better hitting % in each of the 3 seasons than Beason has had. She has been slightly more efficient. Beason was mentioned for National Player of the Year, but Krause is our weakness, interesting . Let that sink in before making ridiculous comments of Krauseâs lack of ability to get it done. Krause is a hell of a lot closer to Beason than Batenhorst is to Krause. Krause better than Batenhorst by 70-96 points each year. To lump Krause and Batenhorst as the same, thatâs crazy. Krause is obviously better than Batenhorst. No one is disputing that. Despite Lindsay's impressive overall hitting percentage, though, it's a running theme that Cook will sub her out for Ally if she isn't producing. This is the constantancy I am referring to; the constant pingponging between Krause and Batenhorst and the games during which neither stood out as the clear best option. More production at this pin is key, especially with Batenhorst as of late, and I think Krause was doing a great job right before she got hurt. Krause's injury came at such an unfortunate time this season, right as she was really coming into her own. When she is on, she is incredible. If she recovers well from her injury and can grow more into this caliber of play, I can only assume she'll keep her starting role. Exploring other options within the team other than Ally for her competition can't hurt, though. |

Nebraska had great season, a ton to be proud of - riding high - right up until they walked into that chili arena. If it werenât for that dastardly NCAA with their insistence on a championship match theyâd be number one still! Itâs so unfair. Who knows, if we were still doing side-out scoring it would have been a whole other outcome! I blame rally scoring!
But kidding aside Nebraska you did great! Feel proud! You had 31 wins in a row! Donât pay any attention to those 12 aces and most lopsided loss in NCAA loss history. Like one of your players said in that press conference sheâs certain youâll win the next THREE national championships! Thatâs something to look forward to.

you can guarantee every positive thing Allick brings to the team is rubbing off too. The constant jabs at Bekka from fans of other teams is getting old. She had an extremely thoughtful response in the post-game and is still trashed because one of her TEAMMATES said something that wasn't well received. She is a mess on the court. She should be red carded like half her games if you go by the way they treated Asyia. đ |

RETWEET. also, as we just saw, confidence and attitude can make or break you. i love the fire and drive from the players because that is truly what it takes to win. you don't win if you don't believe in yourselves 1000%. of course somebody's gonna be wrong at the end of the day but you're honestly putting yourself at a disadvantage imo if you don't utilize the power of the mind in sports. just my opinion! What I love about Bekka is that she feels it. She loves the game, she loves her team. She shows more heart than I've seen from anyone in a while. It's obvious that ppl that ignore her character just to goon over that fact that yeah she's competitive (aka also fun to watch) arent worth listening to and I hope she knows that |

Very bummed about Vicious. She wouldâve been the only non string bean pin hitter on the roster next season. A little training on the left side and she couldâve been an OH in the mold of Londot/Mruzik/Terry. Not that Iâm rooting against Lindz or anything. No reason to believe she wonât be back to form next season. Just couldâve been a nice complementary OH to Harp. |
