Not to pile onto an already tough day for Gopher fans, but it appears that the Houk's are leaving as well. Wishing the three of them well wherever they end up. I could one of them getting a head coaching position. There are several good ones open. I hope KCook hires an exceptional back court coach. I would love to have a great defensive team with great passing. This is yesterdays news so it didn’t ruin today lol |

I am wondering if Wenaas will go to Kentucky and take over Rollins position. Just a thought. Not many players come around like Wenasota. We could be missing her more than we want to admit, if we cannot get the recruiting in place sooner than later. We absolutely have no back court right now. And, unfortunately, it was several years in the making with Covid and Barnes transferring. For whatever reason, we couldn't land a CC replacement in these past years. If Wenaas wants to replace Rollins she'll have to first spend a year at Penn State |

I was pretty certain all along that *either* Matt would become the head coach, *or* Matt and Jen would be moving on. I also wish them both well… I enjoyed talking with them at camp, and watching them coach during the matches. |

The good thing about the announcement re Jenna is that at least I don't have to check the portal tea thread twice a day to see if she's leaving. That she's leaving is certainly understandable and I wish her the best. I just hope that, wherever she lands, it's outside the Big10. Where is this announcement? |

Cook will need to bring in a cerebral AC who knows the B1G well, who is a steady communicator who is week respected and who can recruit well. I am excited to see who he brings in to complement his style. |

Krista Vansant is an obvious choice but like you said we don’t know if she wants to move. |

IMO following up on recruiting at Minnesota...We have been successful with the OH position but never did land a TRUE replacement for Samedy nor any replacemnts for CC and Kilkelly. I feel the downslide started in 2020.
Other programs have been much more successful benefitting from the transfer portal than Minnesota....Miranda Wucherer, Nya Gros, Arica Davis and Elise McGhie. We all know how much playing time each saw this past season. I feel Pitt, Texas and Wisconsin are just three examples of programs who have been very successful with the portal. Again, for whatever reason, we haven't seen that with our program.
Here's hoping KCook has a great defense/serving coach in mind who can also be an outstanding recruiter for needed talent.
