Actually we have a great opp coming in this year and Hugh was trying to develop Crowl as well but Wenaas was better. So the recruiting is there. We had a top libero coming in this year but the coaching change caused her to rethink things. Unfortunately when you have the number 1 Libero coming in '23 and a super senior staying one more year, no libero wants to come in '22 so we had lost her the year before. Its an unfortunate set of circumstances but the recruiting has not gone down since 2020,IMO.

Does Vansant wanna move again to be with a former coach (assistant at the time) ? Krista Vansant is an obvious choice but like you said we don’t know if she wants to move. I would not be shocked if Vansant ends up out west.

So much change. New coaches, Jenna leaving, players needed, and so many unknowns is exciting, but also anxiety-inducing to me. Lol
This team is going to have a different look and feel next year and I wonder what Cook will bring to the table that will be different from MN teams past.

So much that we can't wait for the spring sessions to get a glimpse to next year's team.

Omg came here to post this. So happy!! But also Mck Wuch posted something about the new Texas A&M coach being the GOAT, her heading to Texas A&M doesn't seem logical but I am curious to see if he is able to pull some of his USAV talent in. I wouldn’t read too much into the Morrison post. He was her coach for the USA team. People, especially college/high school students use “goat” all the time. And this appeared in the comments on Taylor's IG post: " mckennawuchererso well said 🥹❤️ excited for the future with you!!!!!"

Someone just said in the Transfer Portal Tea thread that Wenaas has "Do not contact" selected in the portal so that means she must have a school to go to already. 👀
Alright guys, where do we think she's headed? My best guesses are Louisville, Kentucky, somewhere in Cali, or PSU.

They have a great new coach and she can be a leader there.

The gopher social officially posted Matt and Jen departure Cook will need to bring in a cerebral AC who knows the B1G well, who is a steady communicator who is week respected and who can recruit well. I am excited to see who he brings in to complement his style. What about Kristen Kelsay? I saw her present at convention this week, and she has contagious energy that draws you in, so I looked at her resume. She played at Michigan State and coached at both at MSU and NW. She was also the Recruiting Coordinator at Northwestern when they landed an impressive 2022 class and the 2023 lib that’s playing in the UA All American game next month.

I still want defense, for example, Marci Taumalolo. But yes, KCook should find at least one with B1G 10 experience and knowledge.

^^With a focus on passing! Between Murr and Gomillion, should either if not both come, they are amazing defensive bros but their first touch is not as good as their digging. As of now, they're not *bad* passing stats, but if Landfair and Wucherer both go 6-ro, backrow will need some steady anchors.

Minnesota needs to throw their scholarships at the best 2-3 back court people they can find.
It's a no-brainer.

That's where her parents went and she was supposed to go to A&M but ended up going to MN. It could happen. I think personally think she'll aim a little higher, but who knows.
