The StribSports Daily Delivery podcast has Jeff Day as a guest today to talk about Gopher VB. It starts around 12 minutes and lasts for around 20 minutes. This was a fun listen. I’m grateful for Jeff!

Okay TayLa!
A down year and she still picks up a 1st team honor.
Congrats to Murr as well. Imagine this season if the Gophers didn't pick her up?

How does Lexi get defensive player of the year this year? How? She's good, but did not deserve this year. No way

I also thought Chloe got robbed too for Freshman of the year

How does Lexi get defensive player of the year this year? How? She's good, but did not deserve this year. No way I probably would have voted for Booth over Lexi for DPOY, however I'm also not too bummed Booth didnt get it.

How does Lexi get defensive player of the year this year? How? She's good, but did not deserve this year. No way Lexi is one of the best passers in the country and Nebraskas defense won them games this year. She is the best Libero in the B1G. And Murr is my favorite player, but Rodriguez led that defense all season..

Actually I think she was ranked #10 in digs per set this year in the B1G. Hence everyone's surprise. We all know she's fantastic, just doesnt have the stats this year to back it up.

I don’t think Murr should’ve gotten it either but Schemerhorn was straight up robbed as one of the best big ten liberos this season. She leads the Big in digs/set with 4.49 and Lexi is #10 at 3.60. Of course Lexi’s a fantastic player but her getting DPOY is… interesting…

I can't definitively say either way if that is true or not as I haven't analyzed every game. I think our OHs hit cross often enough even against NE. I think she is the top libero in the B1G, however I think this was one of her lesser years and then she finally gets the award even without the stats to back it up. Just weird to me.
