Lexi is one of the best passers in the country and Nebraskas defense won them games this year. She is the best Libero in the B1G. And Murr is my favorite player, but Rodriguez led that defense all season.. I don’t think Murr should’ve gotten it either but Schemerhorn was straight up robbed as one of the best big ten liberos this season. She leads the Big in digs/set with 4.49 and Lexi is #10 at 3.60. Of course Lexi’s a fantastic player but her getting DPOY is… interesting… Is there a dig attempt stat? Lol |

So it does exist in some sense. I would just be curious how many attempts vs errors she had is all. I’m not saying Schermerhorn didn’t deserve it, but with a conference with so many GREAT and deserving liberos, it’s gotta be hard. I think Nebraskas performance and record this year had a lot to do with it. Along with just watching her play… she is incredible. |

yes, I think everyone agrees she is an amazing passer and presence in the backrow, however her digging stats have not been at the top this year. Actually I think she was ranked #10 in digs per set this year. Her digging volume is certainly affected by teams hitting it everywhere except where she is. Franklin sure didnt lol |

I can't definitively say either way if that is true or not as I haven't analyzed every game. I think our OHs hit cross often enough even against NE. I think she is the top libero in the B1G, however I think this was one of her lesser years and then she finally gets the award even without the stats to back it up. Just weird to me. This |

I'm watching ESPN+'s The Fifth Set, the tournament wrap-around show that jumps from match to match. One of the commentators is a Gopher alum, but I didn't catch the name. Anybody know who that might be? They are just in conversation and mentioned she was an alum, but they never appear on screen (or haven't thus far)
