Missed the first set and half, but the rest of the way the cats looked good. Deleye is a star in the making.

Ok DAMN just looked at the stats.
UK hit .336 and held LSU to .135. Deleye led all players with 19 kills, hitting .444(!!!). Wilson's hitting is still... but the rest of the stats look encouraging.

Without Rutherford tonight too. I think the extremely tough ooc schedule should pay off for Kentucky in SEC play. We'll see though.

Incredibly jealous of those of you who missed the first set lol (mostly kidding). Just felt like we were pressing a little and made some unfortunate errors. Once they won set 2 I think you could feel them ease up and they were able to play a little more loose.
Sets 3&4 are probably the best I've seen us look this year. Hopefully Rebo is good to go Sunday.

No match thread for it, but UK beats LSU in four! I only was able to catch the very end of it. Rebo was in sweats which is concerning. Tealer played RS and it looks like Deleye played 6 rotations? They said eye injury? |

Big turn around for the Cats to beat two top 10 teams in Tennessee and Arkansas. Currently sit at the top of the SEC standings after a rough preseason. Curious to know if any of the freshmen are being redshirted? Sarafa, Bultema, and Dailey haven't seen time. Is there a limit on how many can redshirt in a year? Bultema looked very good in the exhibition before she got hurt. Would be very nice to see them get redshirted.

I would assume they are all redshirting being that none of them have touched the court yet. It will be interesting to see who fills the middle roles next season with Z gone. Does Goetzinger have an additional year or is she done as well? Same with Rutherford. She has a covid season left doesn't she? Hopefully she stays. |

Idk if anybody's heard rumblings one way or the other. dont think walker will be back, goetzinger made a post about her 'last time' ever playing in memorial during a spring match... the renovation is scheduled to be done before next season so that sounds like she wasn't planning to come back as of earlier this year |

Very true, just wanted to include her because she technically does have a year to use too, whether it's here or elsewhere. She's also been in a boot for a month so idk if that changes any decisions for her. And Tuozzo's been fantastic. I thought she had a somewhat shaky start to the year, but since conference play she's been passing lights out and making some incredible plays in right left back. I'd be curious to know what she's been passing these last 9 games. |
