That is very specific HIPAA protected information in that tweet. I assume she granted permission.
After a quick Google search, interpreted this as "too many swings were taken and the nerves are damaged". It sounds awful.
It sounds like piformis syndrome, but in the arm. It doesn't sound good for a vb player.

Interesting, the stuff you learn on VT..."overhead athletes," I assume that includes tennis players, basketball, discus & javelin, etc. There's a case citation from a female volleyball player in that link.

It doesn't sound good for a vb player. It's not just nerve damage - both the axillary nerve and the posterior circumflex humeral artery pass through the quadrilateral space. If she's got blood clots, that suggests damage to the artery. Super scary. Best wishes to you, Frank.

This is not a quick recovery and the player needs to be looking at long-term effects. Praying for a full recovery.

Ouch. I hope her recover goes well. As much as it sucks, that may answer our question of whether she or TTA would be the one on the bench. Definitely happy we got TTA to come to Madison

That's pretty cool and digging pretty deep for Badger support (to meet a basketball player essentially a Carlini contemporary). Did it not work out at all to go see Rettke at VNL ? That would have been epic as that venue was packed and energetic.

Definitely happy we got TTA to come to Madison Very sorry to hear about Frank. We're blessed to have TTA and Wrobel, that's for sure. I don't like that we've had to tap into depth, but I'm glad we have it (and I hope Frank is ready for fall, as serious as this might be).
