Curious to see what the competition between Damrow & GG will be like? Very interested in who slides in to the middle to replace Hart: Smrek, Robinson, or someone else from the portal?

I am very interested interested to see what this off season holds. Who do we pursue in the portal? I’d assume a DS or two and maybe a middle? Devyn can obviously slide over to MB but she’s so good on the right side. Who, if anyone, is leaving? And we sticking with the 6-2 this next year?

Also I hope they push Orzol for more front court efficiency as in Wrobel/Demps/Transfer I think she had as many tip kills as spike kills tonight. We're just not getting enough of a threat from her from the front row. I do realize setting is part of that but pales compared to Franklin.

She is so good defensively and is incredibly crafty, ie a few of her points against Pitt in the 5th and obvs could still swing out of the back.

I think she would make an amazing DS but Hammill would have to be good enough to run a 5-1 and there would be a pride factor (getting half as much playing time.

Unless Izzy decides to call it quits, we’ll likely be doing the 6-2 again next year until Charlie Fuerbringer or whatever her name is arrives (sorry if I butchered it). We’re still going to have a lot of powerful arms available, so the 6-2 seems like a logical way to continue.

I think we still run a 6-2 next year, probably will grab a middle from the portal. Speaking of the portal, who do you think will transfer out of Wisconsin?

I was skeptical of her setting ability based on club play and watching her set random balls playing DS and she wound up being a lot better than I expected. I don't always love her setting choices but she has great chemistry with Robinson, digs balls well out of right back, puts up a nice ball and has a cannon of a serve. Just seems like a great kid who loves being at Wisconsin too.

Depends on who they pick up from the portal. As of right now, if we're looking at players who want playing time, Wrobel is the obvious outlier since she couldn't break into the rotation this year and is likely behind Demps going into next season. Demps is too good to be utilized so little. I wouldn't expect Demps to transfer unless she graduates early (most players don't transfer after their junior year) but I hope she finds more time on the court next year. I don't see any of the walk-ons transferring out, they all seem like they're living their best life on the sideline.

What a great run for these kids and this program. Expectations are going to be high again in 2023. I’ll be here for it.
For now, I’ll detox and continue in recovery.
On Wisconsin!
