Reft needs to recruit better outside hitters. Both Olson and Leverette are hitting below .170 in conference play and this is not going to cut it. They can’t pass well too. I really hope Horne will be the answer next year. Hendrickson looks like someone who just started playing volleyball recently and Umeh probably got the same deal as Onye did at Oregon. I can’t believe Reft is redshirting her this year Losing Dodson and Ndiaye will be costly for the Bruins next year "Losing Dodson and Ndiaye will be costly for the Bruins next year" They don't have to, both have one more year of eligibility. |

Ok the Stanford match was another rollercoaster. From what I read on the thread earlier, Bruins can control their destiny if they can win 2 out their next 3.

UCLA played an amazing game against the #2 in the country. Coming back in the 4th set was gutsy and showed how much they have improved. I just hope it is not too late. Pak is doing a great job as setter. Go Bruins, now to beat USC

UCLA with a must win tonight v. 'SC. I would be surprised if they aren't in the tournament with this strong 5-3 close to the season. There a whole different team with Dodson back in. Pak was very good at feeding the middles, which is critical given our pins issues this year.

Hoping two top 25 wins on the road in the last 15 days will put them in the tourney, but agree with some of the upsets in teh conference tourneys it will be close . . . Looks to me that Becker, Dodson, Ndiaye, and Pak are playing their best ball as of late, which is what you want to see from your senior/grad leaders . . . Hope the selection committee agrees and we see them playing next week . . . |

Glad Dodson is returning. Then will need a freshman middle to start, either Briscoe or Zoe Humprey, unless Alupei is healthy again then likely she would start.
More importantly, Ndiaye carried a big load. Olson struggled this season often, so will be helpful to have two pin options ready to go to help Leverette. Olson moving to OPP would likely occur and would be better for her I'd bet. Would suspect Umeh would play at OH next year, and then would need have a freshman pin option: Kiki Horne or Kennedy Osunsanmi.
Also Mullen struggled a bit this season when setting. Hope her level and connection with hitters improves, otherwise freshman setter, Kate Duffey could be an option.
Of course getting a strong libero or setter from the portal could be helpful too.

pak has another year... redshirt plus covid year. Maybe they find a scholly for her, would be the best option.
